I'm shocked at how unimpressed I am by this. I'm one of those rare people who loves every album
that Silverchair did, and I loved the Dissociatives as well! But this one just seems like it's
nothing that hasn't been done before. It's good, but kinda boring. Rather listen to the stuff that
inspired it! I genuinely hope my opinion changes though, because I've thought nothing but good

I think they have a good base sound, but the sameness of the tracks and the terrible lyrics really drag it down. |

The musicianship is outstanding - the vocals are pretty good, the riffs and blast beats are fantastic - but there's barely any flow to it at all. The breakdowns are a joke, and they take away any groove the songs initially had. I mean breakdowns can be great in moderation and with consideration for how they relate to the rest of the song, but when they're just slapped together like this it sounds obnoxious. It's better than the EP, and in fact better than a lot of deathcore bands, but they're still trying too god damn hard. |

But the first half is so strong - it's got the hooks of Atomic Bomb without its god awful pompous nature - that it easily carries the whole thing. |

| So god damn generic. The worst part of this album, for me at least, is the way they needlessly switch up tempos. Usually this sounds cool, but this band does it for absolutely NO REASON, and as a result the songs just meander and sound boring, when you can tell that they think it sounds great. In this day and age of Dillinger Escape Plan, Meshuggah, and any other prog-metal/mathcore/post-hardcore band you could think of, who is going to be impressed by a bunch of needless tempo changes? Nobody is going to hear a JfaC song and think "what?? Weren't they going slightly faster just a second ago? WHAT IS THIS SORCERY??" What a load of shit. |

This is horrible. At least their discography up to the last album was a typical descent into mediocrity, and eventually shit. But here, they're actually putting forth a strong effort - and it's even worse! They are forcing a style they had SIXTEEN YEARS AGO and it's not working - of course it's not, how can it? The idea that anybody DOES think it works is a fucking joke. Everything that made their first album great, the intensity, the songwriting, the unrelenting darkness, this album has none of. So does it have any good qualities of its own? Does it fuck. It's a postured piece of shit, and frankly I'd rather listen to the new Creed.

And then there's the horrible Manson ode Radikult, which presumably was written with the aim of making the lyrics on Manson's last album seem thought-provoking... I really would like to say that it's not as bad as everyone is saying it is, but this is pretty much shit. |

Garbage. Same loud, stupid beats. Same chest-beating, mindless choruses. Same lazy ass
rhymes. Same inability to go two bars without throwin' in an unnecessary 'fuck.' Not that
cursing offends me, but when it's just there for no discernible reason, it comes across as
pointless and unintelligent.
This guy gets worse and worse. Yeah, he can spit fast here and there, but he doesn't ever
say a thing. This is horrible. |

| This just made me really sad. I know the Green Album and Maladroit were far cries from their first two records, but I still found things to enjoy about them, and am still quick to defend them. But nobody, nobody can defend this. It's not just the lazy songwriting or bad lyrics, what really makes this album so awful is the genuine posturing. They're actually trying to fit in with the musical crowd that they influenced in the first place! And why? Who the fuck knows. Worse yet, at this point who the fuck cares. |
