| I wasn't sure Gazpacho would be able to improve upon Night, but they seem to get better every time they put a new album out. This album is a serious grower and will probably have lower ratings due to people only listening to it once, but it seems that with each listen Tick Tock gets better and reveals more of its charms. |

| For seven songs this is a near-perfect soul album, but unfortunately "Suitelady" is the only track of the last four that is of that same quality. Regardless, the strength of earlier tracks like "Welcome," "Ascension," and "'Til the Cops Come Knockin'" make this album is an impressive achievement, and one of the best soul debuts in a long time. |
