very excited for a brand new Cranberries album.

I am conflicted here. I really like the female vocals, and some songs are great, like the closer, but then you have horrible indie/grunge holes like "Darlatoid". Good album all in all, but I wish they would recreate more the shoegaze of "Hexbreaker II".

Dead Letter Circus Dead Letter Circus (2018)
Dead Witches Ouija
Deaf Havana All These Countless Nights
Dean Wareham and Cheval Sombre Dean Wareham Vs. Cheval Sombre
Good timing releasing this the same day as Red Dead Redemption 2. Pleasant dreamy americana album of covers that range from Dylan to Townes Van Zandt, featuring members of Luna and the War on Drugs.

Death And Vanilla The Tenant
Death Angel Frolic Through the Park
Del Paxton All Day, Every Day, All Night
Depeche Mode Spirit

Gave this a 4 on first listen, right after the first track. To my dismay, it is the only track with voices while the rest of the album is just instrumental gazy masturbation. What a shame.

What a weird album. Two things though: It's dark and the singer doesn't like to sing.

Pretty accesible minimalistic noise and sound manipulation. Could be more if there was a little bit more of variation or melody.

Fink Resurgam
All the magic arpeggios and guitar beats that made Fink unique in the vast singer songwriting scene are gone, making Resurgam a good record but the weakest in Fink's otherwise great career.

Gave this a 3 out of sympathy but the band is very, very green. Love the throwback, the cover is tits, but god they need a few years of rehearsal.
Satyricon Deep Calleth Upon Deep
Scallops Hotel sovereign nose of (y)our arrogant face
Scandroid Scandroid
First track "2517" made me stand up in joy, but then the rest fell into some kind of low tempo Pendulum, even a bit cringey sometimes. They should have abused the robot voices, they fit great.
Selvans Faunalia
Senser Asylum

Not a fan of the production but an interesting instrumental post rock/hardcore album with a lot of other influences.

The indie rock formula that has been abused to death already. Some melodies are pretty sweet though, and the band knows how to sound, but it gets old very quick.

I guess if you haven't listened to this band in their 25 years of existence, there is no point in
starting with their last album. But I did it! And as I expected, a "learn to play guitar with The
Bats", daddy pop rock album, absolutely correct and probably great for their fans but nothing
else.

No shit these guys toured with Steve Wilson. The album sound like a spawn of the man himself. Pretty average but decent albeit a bit too long.

This album is like that orgasm that never comes, while the whole thing gets flaccid, but you just keep reaching out for that promising sensorial nirvana.
The Noise Figures Telepath
The Orwells Terrible Human Beings
The Prodigy No Tourists

Mutemath Play Dead
What once was one of the most innovative and energetic pop rock bands of recent years, now it has dwindled to the merely solo project of Paul Meany. Following the departure of all original members of the band, "Play Dead" signifies the nail in the coffin for a musical project that deserved a longer run and a better end.
Nazareth Tattooed On My Brain
Oasis (What's the Story) Morning Glory?
One Ok Rock Ambitions
The first 15 minutes of "Ambitions" are a lesson on how to make outstanding commercial tracks keeping your integrity as musician and performer. From there, the album goes downhill with no brakes, picking up Lavrigne-san on the way and losing itself in pointless ballads and boring bland j-rock memes.

In spite of having a fantastic song like "Sky Burial" with a glorious vocoder chorus, the rest of the album abuses the experimental tag and promptly falls in a self-satisfactory wankery pit.
Homeshake Fresh Air
This is labelled as Indie Rock at Apple Music. F*** my life. A dude recording tracks in a toilet, falsettos when he pushes the sting, randomly hitting that Casio. Some roommate tired of listening to him brings him a guitar mid record. The cover was made by the daughter of his neighbours.

When you realize "The Dark Side" is the closest this is gonna get to good ol' Muse. The run from "Pressure" to "Thought Contagion" is truly horrid, nightmare fuel. The last third of the album does little to lift it up but some tracks like "Blockades" are on a listenable level. Bellamy sounds incredible as always.

As much as I feel for this woman, who was robbed of her most beloved person, whose life was turn into a living hell with no justification whatsoever, who has lived the remaining years of her life being labelled as the "most hated person in the world", this album is no more than just a heartbreaking representation of a tortured mind, a poor soul unable to discern anymore between art and utter madness. Avoid it.
