People have been saying it resembles an amalgam of all previous albums thus far, and I think for the
most part that's true. Might bump this down based on how the album grows on me but so far it
definitely seems a worthy addition to the catalogue. Hey Ma & Faith are still incredibly affecting in

Also much like 22AM, a number of these songs could benefit from being more fleshed out.

Potentially the most ambitious release in a string of zodiac-themed projects that are known for their over-the-top ambition. I was a bit flabbergasted on first listen because the songs (the shortest of which being 19 minutes) constantly change and shift dramatically and randomly whereas the previous entries in this series generally focus on elongated passages that transform coherently and over time. However on repeat listens it definitely works for me and I'm fully into it. This project is insane and it has some of Fucked Up's greatest moments to date imo.

A Day To Remember For Those Who Have Heart (Reissue)
A Day To Remember Common Courtesy
All drama aside, this is a very solid album and it is apparent the amount of effort and hard work they put into the writing and recording of it. The song structures have also grown tremendously, throwing in a little twist every now and then that you wouldn't normally expect from ADTR. If they continue down this path I can see them creating some real quality music in the future.

Ambitious, experimental, progressive and varied. Mother Mother Eureka
Mother Mother Inside
Have been massively underwhelmed by everything these guys have done for like the past decade but surprisingly I'm really loving this. Mother Mother works best somewhere in between sugary pop music and artsy indie rock. When they try to firmly pick one or the other the results are often lacklustre but this record finally tows that line perfectly. rOr maybe I'm just glad the girls have a slightly bigger role here. Either way, solid record.

They sound energized again!

The last couple TPC releases have been lackluster at best, namely the Melon Collie/Infinite
Radness EPs (releases which felt dull, overcooked, and joyless despite their indie-pop facades).
Happy to say this new self-titled sees the band refreshed and in full form, making this album feel
almost like a natural successor to Champ. They're not reinventing the wheel, but they sure sound
fun again, and that's a stark improvement.

This record was clearly designed to not be taken so seriously, but even still I have a hard time stomaching a lot of the cringe-inducing lyrics and tongue-in-cheek puns they choose to insert seemingly everywhere. Enjoy Your Slay is a prime example of the worst of these lol.rOtherwise, if you can block out the corniness, the music itself is relatively solid. Spencers vocals are well performed, if goofy as fuck, and the instrumentation is good despite them not really breaking any new ground. If you're into the INK brand, you'll dig it.

Ninjaspy No Kata
Another great release from genre-bending kings Ninjaspy. The idea of releasing an EP with an included
graphic novel is something very original and forward-thinking, and surprisingly it works quite well together
with the music. With the total runtime being just over 10 minutes containing 10 tracks, when not following
along with the graphic novel the songs can seem kind of pointless (with 7 of them clocking in at under a
minute). But nevertheless, they flow well together and create a memorable release.

Can't help but compare this to Hands Like Houses' 'Reimagine', which is fantastic. This unfortunately feels too rmuch like a Tyler Carter solo pop record. I mean, props to them for taking a risk like this, but it just sounds rpretty uninspired and "flaunty" (don't give a fuck if that's not a word). Feelin a strong 'meh'/10.

Memphis May Fire Unconditional
Memphis May Fire This Light I Hold
On this new record MMF continue their trend of being another painfully mediocre group in a consistently waning genre. Not an original thought throughout it's entire 50 minute runtime and the lyrics are abysmal as expected. A handful of well executed guitar licks and catchy hooks aren't enough to save this from being a grueling listen.
