Rochelle Jordan Through the Wall
In a way I'm massively underrating this record - the quality on a track by track basis is quite high - but pacing very much effects my enjoyment of an album and this LP has next to none. Some songs are more house-y, others more straight R&B, but the record chugs along at a relatively similar volume and BPM for its 59 minute entirety. This results in a certain sameness that makes the many highlights not pop as much as they would on a tighter, shorter album.		3.5

Rock solid album. Not a single bum track and every moment of build and release feels
earned with a uniquely tactile musical texture.

In fact, my only complaint may be that the record is too consistent in tone and pacing.
Nearly every track hits the 6:00-6:30 minutes runtime which can produce a slightly
monotonous atmosphere. But this is a very minor complaint, given that the quality of every
track and overall energy level stays high throughout.		4.0

Nathan Fake Evaporator
Huge fan of Nathan Fake but this is mostly more of the same. A perfectly pleasant and sometimes hauntingly beautiful way to spend 41 minutes, but outside uptempo highlight "Hypercube," portions of the album tend to drift by with little significant impact.		3.0

I haven't encountered an album this awful in quite some time. Here is 44 minutes of truly grating and horrifically produced electroclash with queer themes.rBelieve you me, I love gay trash, but there is little to salvage here even for so-bad-it's-good or camp purposes.		1.5
