A genuine revelation, P.O.S. shows on his 2nd LP 'Audition' that he is one hell of a talented & interesting rapper. With lyrics that are both witty & political, P.O.S. sets his impressive vocal flow over the top of an excellent mix of electronic & live instrumentation (including guitars, strings, bass & horns), and holds interest throughout on this consistent & deep release. Furthermore, despite being far from a mainstream rapper, he has a great knack for a hook, which really tops this album off nicely. Recommended Tracks: Stand Up (Let's Get Murdered), Bleeding Hearts Club (MPLS Chapter), Paul Kersey to Jack Kimball & Half-Cocked Concepts.

Its got flow, consistency, a message, and most importantly, intelligence (something that is all but gone from the modern world of hip-hop). This is an album for those that have become discontent with the seemingly endless sea of mindless, incoherent, and formulaic radio hip-hop that centers more around making money and classifying women as sex objects than providing decent music with a positive message. As previously stated, his flow is unique and consistent, the political ideologies are fierce and in the forefront, and its all pulled off with the "punk-rock" attitude of a man who once held the genre of hip-hop in disdain.
DISCLAIMER: Hardcore Republican's beware; phrases such as "f*** Bush" may be to abundant for your liking...

P.O.S.'s lesser-known crowning achievement that unfortunately was overshadowed by Never Better but marked the first time he truly fused the sounds of punk rock and electronic with rap in perfect fashion. The album glides by effortlessly with hit-after-hit and the ideal blend of anger, passion, and sensitivity in his delivery. Very few songs feel out of place, each unique and powerful enough to standout. This is the ideal starting point for the rock/metal fans who need a gateway into hip-hop. Recommended Songs: De la Souls, Safety in Speed (Heavy Metal), P.O.S. Is Ruining My Life
