| 0.0 | tresm87 | July 14th 16 | The EP showed tremendous energy and potential and really had me very hopeful for the full length. After taking
the new
album in, I've realized that ep was something extremely special and probably will be their best work. Not to say
this album
isn't fun or solid, but it doesn't come close to the ep. It almost has too many spastic moments in the vocals and
instrumentation where you almost just feel scattered. They tried to be way too extreme for their own good and it
sometimes ended up sounding contrived. They cut out the bounce and punch on the ep for more insanity type nu
metal
sound. A very interesting release but not what it could've been. 3.4/5
Edit after about 5 listens I've realized this album is varied so well in sound and very refreshing. I'll change my
exact rating to a 3.8/5. St Veronica, you're so wonderful, and strange candy are outstanding.

| 2.5 average | snepsts | November 5th 17 | Cane Hill's EP was solid, but this album doesn't really add too many new good songs to the table. The sound got lower and heavier, but it doesn't hit harder to coincide. Cane Hill's biggest strength is how good they sound when they're heavy, and they do not play off that enough on this album. Plus half of it is just so damn forgettable. If they would have traded out two of the five weaker songs on the album for remastered versions of OxBlood and Time Bomb, this album could have been pretty killer and the remaining three songs would be easier to forgive.
