I find it funny how you can obviously tell that this one came out after ,,The Shape Of Punk To Come''
on ,,Designs for automotion'' Snapcase technically improves upon ,,Progression through unlearning'' while keeping their music accesible and fun. The riffs are more technical, the songs are more ambitious, the songwriting is better and the production is much better (No MORE TIN CAN DRUMMING). Not only is this album superior from technical standpoint, but it just seems more realized and unique...it all comes from the little concept of adding little bit of experimentation with production and recording on the end of each song, and it makes for quite entertaining and memorable addition to the album.
Highlights: ,,Target'' - Catchy, Memorable and energetic ,,Disconnector'' - perfect Hardcore song that has great riff and ton of energy in the vocals. ,,Ambition Now'' - the most unique song on the album, riff out of the left field, trumpets, melody, crescendo....is this even Snapcase ? ,,Bleeding orange'' - lyrical favorite

| 4.0 excellent | Jared Floryan | September 15th 14 | Designs for Automotion is more than obligated - as an album - to bleed orange, while questioning those who experience it as to if they're tuned in. Victory Records was in their prime when the label had Snapcase, Earth Crisis, and Deadguy, that can be for sure.
