| 3.5 great | Ghost89 | December 1st 13 | I bought this album without listening to it ahead of time because I loved their first album. This one is not as good as the first, but it grows on you with multiple listens. I've seen Icon For Hire live and Ariel's rapping is actually not awkward, it's surprisingly decent. I think it suffers on the album a bit from the overproduction you are talking about, but even that grows on you. This album is more experimental than the first and while that seems a bit unnecessary when the formula they had already found with their first disc was so good, I am hesitant to say anyone should not experiment with their sound. We have to remember that musicians are artists. Better they are trying something new than letting their art go stagnant and get boring. Hopefully their third album will find them more sure of themselves as to what works and what their strengths are. For now though, this album is still pretty good.

| 3.0 good | Benny20 | October 28th 13 | Scripted was a great rock album with a bit of a pop twist to it. Their self-titled release is a pop/hip-hop album with some rock flavoring. While I commend them for trying something different, this new sound is not nearly as satisfying. Unfortunately they've turned away from what they had mostly right the first time through. While this isn't a bad album, it's far from being the worthy successor to their first.

| 4.0 excellent | davezillaMP3 | June 15th 20 | Competently different from the debut, but this does kick so much ass, the alternative elements work well and is a band not being eating by "the imagine dragon" in the posses. The filler here "I think I'm sick" and "Counting on hearts" is solid too. While It is no longer a 5 for me, It is still an underrated album that I was glad to revist.

| 2.0 poor | 3waycrash | March 3rd 16 | "Edgy on Purpose" the band. This one just feels like they're really just trying too hard with the incorporated rapping and gimmicky elements. At least their first album felt a bit inoffensive, but it all just went downhill.

| 3.0 good | Jared Floryan | December 8th 14 | Whilst bearing a production style more or less similar to modern pop, Christian rock outfit Icon for Hire also bring a little tongue-in-cheek action to the scene. Their self-titled album presents frankly interesting ideas and such, and a vast majority of them are executed fine enough (if occasionally trite). Really, the entire record doesn't seem overwrought, though some might say that Icon for Hire is a bit guilty of having missed opportunities as well.

| 4.0 excellent | MegaJake1024 | October 12th 13 | Basically hated this album on first listen... extremely poppy and girlish at times. But its super catchy and innovative, and after a few listens, it became awesome. Its refreshing when bands try new things; this is an excellent example of that.
