  • SowingSeason Thanks, will investigate soon hopefully!
    September 25 01:38 PM
  • Ponton Thanks for bringing that to my attention. Will check.
    September 23 07:59 PM
  • Atari Ill be shocked if you don?t love that Elise Davis tbh. Better the Shannen Moser for me now lol
    September 20 10:29 AM
  • Zeneren Dude how good is ?Heat 1?, it reminds me of ?Regret? from his LP last year
    September 19 07:40 PM
  • Atari Oh you just commented on it already lmao. Cheers man!
    September 16 06:21 PM
  • Atari Just discovered/reviewed this Elise Davis. A lovely county pop album that?s more along the lines of Kacey Musgraves ;) without a doubt this is the year i fall in love with country
    September 16 06:20 PM
  • Zeneren Feelin this Atobe rec for sure, gonna listen to it for a while
    September 11 06:26 PM
  • Atari btw Recognizing the Enemy by Yves Tumor really reminds me of this track by Neun Welten if you haven't heard them. pretty cool dark ambient/folk group.
    September 9 05:40 PM
  • Atari nah lol, just curious what stood out to you! Haircut Song is far from the only amazing cut but my favorites atm are that, Joanna, Your Window Seat, West Texas Blues, and the closing title track.
    September 9 05:38 PM
  • Atari Any favorite tracks? ;)
    September 9 05:30 PM
  • Atari Nice!! I?m really glad you?re digging it and others seem to be as well so far
    September 9 02:12 PM
  • Atari we'll see. it will get a soundoff at the very least because it deserves it :D
    September 8 04:24 PM
  • Atari yeah it's pretty chill, glad you liked it! I'd like to review this Shannen Moser but I barely have time and don't think I can write anymore lol. "Haircut Song" is just too ****ing good
    September 8 03:52 PM
  • Yotimi Gave yves a casual listen and theres definitely something there. gonna revisit this weekend
    September 7 11:38 PM
  • Atari yeah all the great releases seem to come at once, haha. I was just destroyed by this Shannen Moser. "Haircut Song", "Joanna" and "Every Town" is the best trio on the album. might be too country-ish for you at times tho ;)
    September 7 08:21 PM
  • Atari the middle section is what sold me! track 2, 3 and the closer may take some more time to digest lol. by the way, speaking of electronic I randomly came across this electronic/downtempo album released today I'm digging so far if you're interested. Maribou State - Kingdoms in Colour
    September 7 01:28 PM
  • Atari wasn't sure I'd like it but yeah this Yves Tumor is pretty damn good - one of my most listened to albums of the last 2 days. parts of it are jarring but at the same time it's often oddly accessible. like the borderline dark ambient sound on a couple tracks too
    September 7 12:40 PM
  • 99e4x1aic5jm8k3kf5p3 the deconstructed club tag on rym is the worst thing ever -- a useless ****ing tag that AS and sophie stans use to describe any kind of electronic "with a twist" -- total ****ing nonsense
    September 7 07:33 AM
  • 99e4x1aic5jm8k3kf5p3 well i mean duh, i don't listen to insipid trash
    September 7 07:25 AM
  • 99e4x1aic5jm8k3kf5p3 also lol yves tumor -- cancerous not only in name
    September 7 04:13 AM
  • 99e4x1aic5jm8k3kf5p3 lmao that AS rate
    September 7 04:13 AM
  • Atari cool, I like curveballs! I'll add it to my phone tomorrow :]
    September 5 11:40 PM
  • FreddieDelaney31 Got it! Appreciate it so much, listening now~
    September 5 09:16 PM
  • FreddieDelaney31 I don't really use Dropbox all I know is my name on there is Crogiamau, I would appreciate it greatly
    September 5 09:00 PM
  • FreddieDelaney31 Is it worth getting an Apple Music trial because I'm really considering it, these singles are unreal
    September 5 08:46 PM
  • FreddieDelaney31 Read your post as I was listening to the singles for the first time, they're absolutely stunning. However I believe it's an Apple Music exclusive right now so can't listen to the whole album : (
    September 5 08:17 PM
  • Yotimi Agree. B-side ain't too shabby either other than the didgeradoo effect
    September 2 09:45 PM
  • Atari fair enough ;) I was already sold on the opening track, "November". I'm in love with his lyrics
    August 29 01:32 PM
  • Trebor. Ah shucks
    August 24 08:29 PM
  • Trebor. yo, are you going to the Julien Baker/Phoebe Bridgers concert at The Wiltern?
    August 24 08:18 PM
  • Atari a 4 might not even cut it. such a smooth listen and the lyric are outstanding. I think you'll be impressed (hopefully)
    August 24 01:34 PM
  • Atari rec of the week: Gabriel Kahane - Book of Travelers. not a female songwriter this time! lol
    August 24 01:14 PM
  • Atari yeah it's pretty excellent, thanks for the quality rec as always!
    August 20 02:02 PM
  • Atari if there's a song that's selling me on The Meadowlands right now, it's definitely "She Send Kisses". The instrumentation/atmosphere reminds me more of something I'd find in my folky black metal albums or dark folk albums!! spending more time with it today, but that song kicks ass. would you say the atmosphere is one of the selling points for you? haven't had a chance to pay much attention to the lyrics yet
    August 20 11:50 AM
  • Atari added to the phone, my man. never heard a single song by The Wrens!
    August 17 12:07 PM
  • Atari I haven't heard it ;)
    August 16 09:18 PM
  • Atari Lol, I really can?t get enough of ?There?s Always Glimmer? right now, but we?ll see..
    August 14 10:42 PM
  • Atari Man I?ve been spinning that Gia Margaret since your shout and it?s only getting better!!
    August 14 09:12 PM
  • Atari haha, yeah that song would prolly fit just fine on that Tomberlin album tbh. definitely a similar appeal at times. some of the other tracks are more colorful tho and remind me of Bedouine kinda actually!
    August 14 04:45 PM
  • Atari Hell ya, had a feeling you?d dig that one! :] just another example of an amazing indie folk artist that prolly won?t even hit 15 votes this year lol
    August 12 07:46 PM
  • DoofDoof The opener is great, a top 10 TVOTR song ;D Cups, not sure, I'll need to return to it, not sure it justified being an epic. 2.5 seems about spot on, maybe a 3 if I really gave it a shot and cut out the worst misfires?
    August 12 01:01 PM
  • DoofDoof It wouldn't take that much of a tweak to her approach for me to like her music, but as it is it just lost me, I'll return to it a couple of times - see if anything actually sinks in. This Foxing at first had me thinking of 'Dear Science' but the second tune was limp as anything...
    August 12 12:15 PM
  • DoofDoof I'll give it a go, have to say I struggled through the Tomberlin - a lot of Grouper/Low influence but not a lot of grabby song writing going on for me.
    August 12 12:01 PM
  • Atari Welcome back! Yeah it sounds really nice so far. I was distracted when I heard it earlier so looking forward to giving it more attention. By the way here?s a rec I?ve been saving for you: Gia Margaret - There?s Always Glimmer. Warm, gentle indie folk kinda similar to Florist
    August 12 12:49 AM
  • Atari No rush, enjoy the nice long vacation wherever you go! :)
    July 21 02:48 PM
  • Atari another rec, this time country singer-songwriter that u might dig based on Hemby/ Musgraves: Lori McKenna - The Tree
    July 21 01:29 PM
  • Atari In my Groove and Emily are two of my favorites ;) yeah songwriting isn?t outstanding or anything but I thought it was a nice enough little album. Sometimes I like the arrangements better than her vocals/lyrics. Also, I did really enjoy that Sun June album
    July 21 12:36 PM
  • Chortles that deepchord record is slick, just more subaquatic bliss to boot. fab album art too
    July 19 01:33 PM
  • Atari Cool. You?ll have to let me know what you think and if there are any standouts for you :]
    July 18 04:27 PM
  • Atari Speaking of female singer-songwriter (lol) don?t sleep on that new Mikaela Davis. One of her selling points is the harp but she?s much more than just that. Some nice 80s-ish synths and other nice surprises throughout. Pretty chill but lots of character
    July 18 02:48 PM
  • DoofDoof I can imagine the Eleventeen album interspersed with the dreamiest Mac tunes yeah, would work well. I struggle with instrumental album reviews a little bit, tempted though. Would need to do a little bit of research - I know nothing at all about the album other than the music itself (which some people would say is enough but I tend to like a bit of context).
    July 17 05:43 PM
  • Chortles always ahead!! maybe I should stick to reccing old stuff, can't keep up with you for 2018 releases
    July 17 01:45 PM
  • Chortles rec incoming: check out Kate NV's new album if you haven't. just added her to the DB, it's as if the lighter sounds of ambient/wandering pre-replica OPN were mixed in with quizzical art pop sensibilities. plus it's another cool female russian electronic artist to add to the list ;-)
    July 17 01:38 PM
  • Atari Jamming Sun June now and it?s pretty chill. Thx man :] here?s one for you: Mikaela Davis - Delivery. I?m just hearing her for the first time but seems up your alley. Opening track is really nice
    July 13 10:59 AM
  • DoofDoof The Eleventeen is incredible stuff, definitely has a vintage Durutti Column influence in the mix, but also has that balearic tropical island Mark Barrott sound too. Think it transcends all those influences though, could be a 4.5
    July 12 05:01 PM
  • hogan900 you making me mad sad with this hopesfall hate lad :/
    July 12 04:53 PM
  • Atari I?ll check it out, thanks man! Could prolly use a break from my pop punk binge lol
    July 11 03:27 PM
  • DoofDoof Hopes couldn?t fall any lower, looking forward to it already ;D
    July 11 01:13 PM
  • DoofDoof you're on good form with the recs right now, will get to it, thanks
    July 11 09:51 AM
  • ianblxdsoe it's all good!! no hard feelings; i'll keep it in mind from now on, i just didnt know it was an issue. but for long-time sput/community members, i could see how watching someone?s soundoffs (especially more memetic ones like mine lol) unload could feel,,, disheartening so i understand that hahah
    July 6 09:05 PM
  • ianblxdsoe id a few longer and 'annoying' ones, sorry if they were somehow that offensive to you that you had to go out of your way and shout me for it lol
    July 6 05:10 PM
  • ianblxdsoe didnt know they were that bad, my apologies ig i?ll some
    July 6 04:58 PM
  • FreddieDelaney31 It's absolutely everything I wanted it to be, so gorgeous and open
    July 5 06:04 PM
  • FreddieDelaney31 God how extraordinary is this new Deafheaven the, easily their best
    July 5 12:58 PM
  • Ryus that varg album is so good ugh
    July 4 10:37 AM
  • literallyzach sophie is so brilliant girl. immaterial is my new anthem forever
    June 29 05:58 AM
  • Yotimi Finally got around to it. Great stuff
    June 26 04:21 PM
  • commonist yeah the album definitely has some bangers. i missed out seeing him this weekend in brooklyn, but i got to see floating points instead which was amazing
    June 25 08:37 PM
  • Atari no worries haha, think I'll just skip the new releases today. been pretty obsessed with Olivia Chaney anyways ;)
    June 22 01:59 PM
  • Atari anything you think I'd dig out today? seems like a lame release day...
    June 22 01:27 PM
  • Atari I don't have a discord, but thanks for thinking of me!
    June 20 03:39 PM
  • Atari Right on, glad u liked it :] ?Dragonfly? has been stuck in my head all day. Some really nice piano melodies throughout as well!
    June 20 12:37 AM
  • Atari singer-songwriter rec of the week: Olivia Chaney - Shelter
    June 19 11:58 AM
  • robertsona So right about immaterial
    June 17 05:48 PM
  • Zeneren Ah yes! Gonna jam that as soon as its released.June is incredible so far. Do you like Blawan? He's got an album of dungeon techno belters coming out next week that i'm hella excited for.
    June 16 03:45 AM
  • DoofusWainwright Also, I guess 90% of the site probably don't know who Sophie Ellis-Bexter is so my soundoff is likely wasted
    June 15 01:40 PM
  • DoofusWainwright Honestly, the album has me intrigued at least, enough that I can definitely see me listening to it ten or so times. Who knows? Doof 5 in the making...
    June 15 01:38 PM
  • DoofusWainwright It's a holder ;D First song not a fan. The rest so far I couldn't rate a 1.5 and then rate OPN and the like a 5. She's living in a Garden of D-elete wonderland
    June 15 01:32 PM
  • DoofusWainwright It's a bit like...Florence Clarity of you get where I'm going...
    June 15 01:22 PM
  • Dewinged Included that Sophie album in my weekly list. Thanks for the heads up!
    June 14 09:04 PM
  • Chortles new-ish wanderwelle mix, it's sublime - - - - getting pretty hyped for their upcoming album. feel like i'm checking their fb every day fors lol
    June 13 06:28 PM
  • anatelier ah glad you like it, only getting more addictive with each listen. so many great lines. gonna write a review tomorrow and spread the word!
    June 13 07:46 AM
  • DoofusWainwright It's a great year and there's definitely a bias in that list between 2015-2018 (time I've been on Sput). Some 2018 albums on there I haven't listened to enough, if they haven't got a track pick next to them then their position is just a holder for now.
    June 13 02:48 AM
  • Yotimi Yeah good stuff. I'll be sure to check out the others too
    June 12 08:39 PM
  • DoofusWainwright Very enjoyable stuff, slightly more ethnic sounding and even more relaxing/hypnotic than the E Ruscha
    June 12 03:03 PM
  • DoofusWainwright Appreciated, is this her first major release?
    June 12 01:25 PM
  • DoofusWainwright I messaged you on LastFM ;D
    June 12 01:16 PM
  • DoofusWainwright has your rec been officially released yet?
    June 12 02:41 AM
  • DoofusWainwright Will check thanks
    June 11 04:03 AM
  • BlushfulHippocrene I'm glad you enjoy soil. Wasn't as immediate as blisters on first listen, but I'm excited to get into it.
    June 10 03:54 AM
  • Atari yeah I know, haha. it's just such a beautiful grower!
    June 9 02:54 PM
  • Atari don't sleep on that Aisha Burns ;0)
    June 9 02:27 PM
  • Atari mood music lol
    June 6 04:45 PM
  • Atari (same label as that Juliana Daugherty. tis growing on me, kinda similar-ish mod music :)
    June 6 04:45 PM
  • Atari very true. I'm still butthurt that Nadia Reid's last album still only has 15 votes lol. I'm actually gonna drop a brief (but needed) review for that Hemby I think, but it will probably be a similar case
    June 5 12:34 PM
  • Chortles still have to hear it!!! gah i'm sure it's exceptional. it's just hard to commit to the full 3 hours it deserves, it's the same for 8 - one of my favorite albums full stop but you have to set aside a full evening for it lol
    June 5 11:53 AM
  • Atari I love that Juliana Daugherty more and more with each listen :] I can already tell the site's gonna sleep on it but oh well
    June 4 12:30 PM
  • Atari I'm not familiar with James Blake, so can't tell you if she butchered the song or not :P It was more chill than most the stuff on her recent album though. if you're feeling brave later:
    June 3 01:43 PM
  • Atari you?re a James Blake fan no? Thought you?d be interested to know that Katie Herzig just dropped a cover for the Wilhelm Scream lmao
    June 3 11:58 AM
  • Atari I?m feeling pretty indifferent to Hell-On as well but admittedly haven?t spent much time with it. It?s only the second Neko Case I?ve heard tho lol
    June 3 11:53 AM
  • BlushfulHippocrene Thanks so much for the rec. I've listened a few times now, but it's not sticking for some reason; I'll keep trying, it seems like somthing I could love.
    June 2 11:27 PM
  • Atari yeah I can see that. listening again now and it's only getting better! Revelation is wow, her voice is just so strong. seems the lyrics are great too, will probably stand out more with further listening
    June 2 11:49 AM
  • Atari Haha, glad u dug it! Was the first thing I tried this morning and it went down pretty smoothly. That comparison makes sense, definitely an Angel Olsen vibe going on as well. My only complaint is it?s a bit samey so nothing necessarily stood out in particular. Needs more listens tho... Oh and that Jennifer Castle is up to a 4 for me now :]
    June 2 01:15 AM
  • Atari I have a feeling you're gonna hate the new Neko Case lol
    June 1 12:32 PM
  • BlushfulHippocrene Hey Lucid, thanks for the Rosehall rec -- been enjoying it a LOT. You might be familiar already, but LUMP (Laura Marling and Mike Lindsay of Tunng) just dropped an album. Really pretty, kinda somber folk with subtle electronic elements. If you already know it, lemme know what you think. (((:
    May 31 09:42 PM
  • Atari glad you're not hating it lolz. I was torn between a 3.5 and a 4. it's not very immediate but seems to be more rewarding with every listen. definitely a calming listen when I'm in the mood for something lighter. you might dig that Asya Sergeeva I mentioned before too. it's definitely different than Mary Lattimore (more playful and upbeat at times) but you might dig cause harp ;)
    May 30 01:09 PM
  • Atari That Mary Lattimore is lovely and one of my favorites of this year so far. Cheers for that rec!
    May 30 10:40 AM
  • SowingSeason Just curious, do you know the guy from Rosehall? Is it a user project? I adore the album.
    May 29 10:09 AM
  • DoofusWainwright First impressions there's some Grizzly Bear 'Yellow House', some Justin Vernon and a little early AnCo maybe. I think it is its own beast though, it has that lo-fi/bedroom tapes vibe in places too - like Elvis Depressedly etc. I really like the spoken word sections and none of the artists I've listed incorporate much spoken word so really I can't think of an obvious comparison as of yet...
    May 27 12:17 PM
  • DoofusWainwright The instrumental/spoken word sections of the Rosehall album are incredible...the vocal sections are a mixed bag, some break the spell, will see how they grow on me after repeat listens
    May 27 12:03 PM
  • Atari i'll add it to the list. still have a few from you I've yet to check in full. don't think I've disliked any of your recs that I can think of lol. I'm easy (or maybe I'm just too damn generous), it's a blessing and a curse ;) but at least I should have a better idea of what kind of songwriter pop NOT to recommend you in the future
    May 27 12:01 PM
  • Atari getting some slight Marissa Nadler vibes on that Jennifer Castle if that's your thing
    May 26 04:59 PM
  • Atari Spells and the title track are my favorites :)
    May 26 03:48 PM
  • Atari And I love the direction of the Jenny Hval EP! Such a nice change of pace for her
    May 26 03:27 PM
  • Atari I was sold on the opening track, so we?ll see...
    May 26 03:25 PM
  • Atari I think you?ll actually dig this one lol ;P
    May 26 11:50 AM
  • Atari Jennifer Castle - Angel of Death
    May 26 11:47 AM
  • verdant thank you for this mary lattimore rec m'dear
    May 25 10:52 PM
  • Atari you had me at harp. will check later! rec for you: Asya Sergeeva - Heart of Winter. not from this year but a personal favorite of mine that's centered largely around her harp playing. might not be able to find it outside of bandcamp tho...
    May 23 06:14 PM
  • Atari nice rating for the new Courtney Barnett btw, def enjoying it
    May 20 02:17 PM
  • Atari Damn. And u tried the track Elephant? How are u still standing lol
    May 20 01:01 PM
  • Zeneren Yeah likewise! Personality shines once again and to me this is noticeably more consistent than her debut. "Crippling Self Doubt and a General Lack of Self Confidence" is very much my jam.
    May 19 06:23 PM
  • Zeneren Mixing it with L.B. Dub Corp's (Luke Slater) new album which is also very very good!
    May 19 06:01 PM
  • Zeneren skee mask yes
    May 18 08:03 AM
  • Atari here's one for you: I'm really enjoying Rachael Sage - Myopia! Picks up in quality after the first couple tracks. Sympathy Seed, Daylight, and Maybe She'll Have Cats make up the best trio of songs on the album prolly. definitely leans a bit towards art pop at times
    May 17 05:06 PM
  • Atari :-)
    May 17 04:33 PM
  • Yotimi My pc broke and its causing me to get behind on my new tunes...sounds sweet though
    May 16 12:29 PM
  • Chortles traum is unstoppable. new 3 hour dj healer mix ---
    May 15 07:53 PM
  • Atari lovefest lol. hey man, I can't help it if Boney tossed me such a killer rec :3 the lyrics are just too damn good. maybe you'll hate it but I love it too much to not at least mention it!
    May 15 03:38 PM
  • Atari if you've never given Jason Isbell - Southeastern a go I highly recommend it. It's not even that country really and it blew me the **** away
    May 15 02:27 PM
  • Chortles I love skee mask, looking forward to giving that a go
    May 12 03:13 PM
  • DoofusWainwright There might be a few decent individual songs among that early discog but I MUCH prefer her having gone sophisti-pop/synthy. Tbh I wish she'd stripped the most conventional pop tune 'In Between Stars' (which one review correctly asserted sounds dangerously close to the Scottish radio bland band Texas) and replaced it with another song in the style of the opener or closer. The new one shows promise, she could go somewhere even more interesting in the future, hope so anyway
    May 6 02:19 PM
  • DoofusWainwright Know nowt about her discog other than this new one - I never liked Fiery Furnaces though.
    May 5 06:51 AM
  • DoofusWainwright Lyrics are meant to be droll, a little deadpan - at least that's how they come off for me, honestly maybe the best opening two tracks of 2018 so far imo. The album is sort of Beach House meets 'Kaputt' meets Fleetwood Mac at their coolly sexual best.
    May 5 06:40 AM
  • DoofusWainwright Sexy album by female artist 4.5, you're missing something on the Eleanor Friedberger...but then I guess I must have missed something with Janelle
    May 5 06:35 AM
  • Chortles absolutely, i would say the most essential thing to add is probably their velo di maya ep. just as atmospheric as the LP but i imagine it as a sort of short form foil to it tbh (it's oppressive rather than enchanting, tense instead of relaxing). donato dozzy's k is essential as well if you haven't heard it, it falls somewhere in between those two. both are easy 4.5s from me, but then again i'm a superfan 8)
    May 4 06:41 PM
  • Chortles cheers for your recent list, this one has yielded the most goodies yet i think (for me anyway). surprise bangers for me are the loidis and ross from friends eps, absolutely infectious grooves on them and some really rich textures from huerco, as we've come to expect. definitely going to get on that rec yotimi left below also....
    May 2 01:53 PM
  • JohnnyOnTheSpot now that it?s had time to stew: what do you make of new JH?
    May 1 07:49 PM
  • Yotimi yeah saw some goodies on there - Struiwigh's album last year was one of my faves so definitely plan to check the new one here soon. Will work my way thru the rest for sure too. Actually have a rec for you: S.A.M. - Retrospect One. When it dives into DJ Sprinkles like territory, it's pretty amazing
    May 1 04:38 PM
  • Winesburgohio thank you baby, i've gotta fully immerse myself into grouper and hopkins today but tomorrow i know what i'm having my first cig of the day with!!! then the album.
    April 29 11:29 PM
  • Drummerboy123 Yo hook a brother up with that jon hopkins leak.
    April 29 01:31 PM
  • DoofusWainwright jon hopkins leaked. Hello!
    April 29 12:42 PM
  • Atari yeah haha way to rub it in :p I had it at a 4 initially but already bumped it up cause I love it so much. one of those albums that's gonna drive me nuts cause there's no review/discussion lol
    April 28 12:48 PM
  • Atari gets better after the first couple tracks imo. Cairo, IL through the closing track is basically all stunning - a near-perfect run. The lyrics on "Worn" and "I'll Remember How You Loved Me" destroy me. could just be the excitement of it being new, but rn I like it better than Musgraves/Canty lol
    April 26 12:04 PM
  • commonist Thanks! I'm in finals season of school right now but once the summer hits I plan on doing some reviews of some of my favorite house LPs/EPs. It's definitely an area that Sput is weak on and I think it'd be cool to expose more people to the genre. As of right now I'm thinking of doing a lot of Giegling releases, as well as a couple projects from Lobster Theremin and Smallville.
    April 25 11:10 AM
  • Atari that Natalie Hemby is sooo damn good :]
    April 24 04:50 PM
  • BlushfulHippocrene One of the best voices I've experienced in recent memory -- resonates so much. (((: Wasn't aware you were so into him, but I can't say I'm surprised at all.
    April 23 08:22 AM
  • JohnnyOnTheSpot started listening. few do ?cold, methodical, emotionless? so well, and I don?t mean that in a bad way
    April 22 05:30 PM
  • JohnnyOnTheSpot oh s*** didn't realize prince of denmark (prime minister of doom, whatever) had a new thing. what do you think?
    April 21 12:27 AM
  • Atari Night Flowers - Cruel Wind is lovely btw. several ace tracks, but especially the opener Sandcastles and closer Cruel Wind. Idk Unwound is amazing too
    April 18 10:42 PM
  • Atari yeah I just kinda shamelessly used the comparison to Musgraves in hopes it would get more people to check her out lol. they're quite different for sure. thanks for giving her a fair shot!
    April 18 07:50 PM
  • Atari as much as I'd rather see a 4 from you for Motel Bouquet, at least you didn't hate it lol ;)
    April 18 05:56 PM
  • commonist Unfortunately (or fortunately I guess) I just grabbed a couple of the reissues that just got posted on Giegling so it looks like I'll be on a buy freeze for awhile. It's definitely on my wishlist tho.
    April 18 04:57 PM
  • commonist Thanks for posting the PMOD to the site, the album is fantastic. I only got Mudshadow Propaganda and am on the fence about possibly picking up the DJ Healer Lp as well
    April 18 03:44 PM
  • Yotimi NICE, gonna check both right now
    April 17 03:03 PM
  • Chortles beautiful, thank you kindly
    April 16 10:10 AM
  • Zeneren Yes man! Would love it. Think I tried to order DJ healer but not sure I was successful.
    April 16 03:40 AM
  • Chortles also, TWO new records?? he truly does not stop giving
    April 15 11:06 PM
  • Chortles had no idea about dj healer... wow you just made my day. links please! and wanderwelle... my god. read a little bit more about it from what they posted on FB as well. this is all i need
    April 15 11:05 PM
  • Chortles that's fair, that seems to be a lot of peoples' take. for me it scratches just the right itch, i dunno. will check it, i've not been taken with his stuff typically but i'm down to give the new one a try
    April 13 05:24 PM
  • Chortles new rival consoles is out today and it's really good, feels a lot more intense and propulsive than his previous stuff
    April 13 03:52 PM
  • Yotimi cool, yeah gotta check that one for sure
    April 10 04:29 PM
  • Atari Hehe just giving u a hard time. Guess I didn?t realize u don?t rate things 3.5 before
    April 6 12:37 PM
  • Atari Lol rip your sister cites rating ;)
    April 6 09:30 AM
  • theBoneyKing Oh dear, sounds horrifying. Not sure Ill bother tbh but Ill let you know if I do.
    April 4 02:51 PM
  • Atari holy s*** that new Panopticon rating has me excited...loved their last 2 albums. anyways if you have an iphone and can afford it I'd highly recommend apple music. you can download all the music you want to your phone for just $10 a month. but I can provide a link to one of my favorite songs by her via live performance if you'd like ;)
    April 4 02:25 PM
  • Atari oops lol, thx for saving me from more embarrassment, that's what I get for doing a sound-off quickie before I've had my morning coffee. please just listen to it!! been getting Nadia Reid and Bedouine vibes on it and it's also a grower
    April 4 12:45 PM
  • bloc add me
    April 4 10:36 AM
  • Atari I like this Canty better so far but need to spend more time with both. apparently Canty had an album called Golden Hour in 2011 haha, random.. I feel kind of bad for her having an album dropped on the same day as Kacey Musgraves. It will clearly be overlooked, but it's the nicest thing I've heard lately
    April 2 05:43 PM
  • Atari another potentially disappointing rec ;P: Caitlin Canty - Motel Bouquet. Has a country feel to it but is very chill. Might fit nicely between you Kacey Musgraves listens
    April 2 05:01 PM
  • Atari I'm growing less confident with my recs for you, but maybe check this Frankie Cosmos that dropped today. Reminds me of Florist a tad
    March 30 12:27 PM
  • Yotimi Its pretty good but why the hell are both tracks the same...
    March 30 11:50 AM
  • Atari lol, you're a tough critic ;] it's definitely more poppy than what I typically listen to, but it's got a lot of spins these last few days - especially "I Don't Mind". I'll check that new Kacey Musgraves! never heard her before
    March 30 11:29 AM
  • theBoneyKing Its reminding me of a spacier War On Drugs. It did drag a bit in the middle though, a grower maybe?
    March 30 10:28 AM
  • theBoneyKing ...and Im listening to the Amen Dunes right now and it too is great so far
    March 30 10:06 AM
  • theBoneyKing Honestly this has been an amazing year so far, already way better than 2017 in my book
    March 30 09:46 AM
  • theBoneyKing I like your comment in the RYM shoutbox for it XD
    March 30 09:05 AM
  • theBoneyKing The Kacey Musgraves is excellent indeed - I see you gave it the 4.5 bump, I dont think it will grow to that for me but on first listen its almost def at least a 4.
    March 30 09:00 AM
  • Atari hope you enjoy bud
    March 29 06:55 PM
  • Yotimi awesome - thanks for the heads up! Dude definitely takes his time releasing stuff, didn't even think to check on new material from him
    March 29 06:40 PM
  • Atari if you don't dig the video I linked here's another song with a different feel :]
    March 29 06:20 PM
  • Asdfp277 but again, I haven't fully tested it. One thing tho: the image MUST be a .jpg, and it MUST be less than 200kb. Otherwise, it will just **** it up and you might get the white square glitch that only mods can fix (and it's a bitch to fix as well)
    March 29 03:15 PM
  • Asdfp277 yo, i just saw that post on the meds thread. to elaborate: i've found that 600x600px images work best for me, tho i haven't been fully thorough with testing it out. i feel like it works better than uploading a 500x500 like the site uses because it will compress the image everytime, but it seems to compress the image first, and THEN resize it
    March 29 03:13 PM
  • Atari rec for you: Katie Herzig - Moment of Bliss. great pop record. here's a music video but it's not the best song of the bunch...
    March 29 11:40 AM
  • theBoneyKing Shes an excellent songwriter yeah, about as good as youll find in semi-mainstream country these days. Chamber pop eh? Now thats intriguing, not a vibe Ive gotten from her work before.
    March 28 08:25 AM
  • theBoneyKing Sounds interesting. Great rating for the new Kacey Musgraves, I loved her debut but thought the follow up was supbar, glad to see shes back on track!
    March 28 06:55 AM
  • klap lol so true. it was one of my older sister's very albums and i totally forgot about it until seeing that review. so good
    March 26 09:25 PM
  • JamieTwort Here?s a few lesser know electronic recs from this year; Rest Corp - Infinity Scroll (house), Sangam and Thugwidow - The Holy City is Empty (atmospheric drum and bass), Neana - Evaser (UK Bass), Fede Lng / Deejay Astral - Pack the Pipe (house), Oall Hates - Emotional (house). Hope you dig some of those.
    March 17 11:24 AM
  • Atari Gotcha ;]
    March 16 02:46 AM
  • Atari Also love The White EP. btw what?s your last fm user name? Could have sworn you posted it in my last list but now I?m not seeing it lol
    March 16 02:22 AM
  • Atari Really hard for me to narrow it down to a favorite track because I feel like The Mantle, PF, and Ashes work best in one sitting. Been listening to PF more the last few days and it really feels like one giant song in a way. But some favorites would be In the Shadow of Our Pale Companion, Limbs. And right now The Mishappen Steed is hitting all the right notes. Love how it leads into the track you mentioned
    March 16 02:19 AM
  • JamieTwort Thanks man, you too judging by your lists. Sure thing, I?ll hit you up with some when I get a minute.
    March 14 06:17 PM
  • Atari didn't even know you were an Agalloch fan! The Pale Folklore double LP has been in nonstop rotation since I got it. One of the few bands I can think of where I could potentially 5 three of their albums
    March 14 11:50 AM
  • DoofusWainwright The joke is on me - I had to listen to some BETBAM
    March 13 10:41 AM
  • Atari No worries my man. Can?t win em all :]
    March 13 07:52 AM
  • Xenophanes Oh wow I totally forgot there was a new one coming out. Will seek it out tonight, thanks for the heads up
    March 12 07:01 PM
  • NocteDominum
    March 10 10:40 PM
  • Atari here's a highlight track from that Long Neck album. not as energetic as the rest, but a good representation:
    March 10 11:46 AM
  • BlushfulHippocrene Please do review the new Mount Eerie, I'm in absolute awe of it.
    March 9 06:18 PM
  • rabidfish bro i changed a bit the review to try to make this idea a bit more concrete. I guess i rushed it a bit, but it's an emotional album that needs to be tackled in an emotional way, I think... I only posted because i find the differences between this new one and 'A crow' fascinating and that it deserves further discussion. Sorry if i sound like a turd, i might be one.
