This is a throwback to Sputnik of yesteryear, when KILL and sonic posted Kate Bush memes, when respecs had a foursome with three dudes and somehow didnt cross swords, when snide and decayingmajesty made clowns of themselves, when skele went off the rails, when viperaces and viral oblivion were a thing, when Insurrection was around. When Deviant. maintained the banned users thread, when skele white knighted for icylily, when baseline claimed suicide, when people actually thrashed. Basically, before Sputnik went to ***. Coroner can be seen as champions of that era, thrashing hard and not giving a ***. Ah, those were the days.
Mental Vortex is a widely celebrated thrashterpiece which actually thrashes and never goes queef. There are no boring chugcore riffs here, no bull*** faux falsetto vocals to try and sound like priest just pure thrash. Son of Lilith shows exactly what this band is about, and that is thrash and riffs and truth. Nevermind people who dig nevermind or master or six feet under, those people dont know metal. This is metal, and it displays that metal fist so true that when the fourth song kicks into life with that ***ing riff, all I can think of is how much i want to beat a clown. Sadly, there ain't no clowns in my set, no mark ass bitches here, just pure ***ing thrash.
