Review Summary: In Conclusion, I feel that the album deserves a 3/5 because of it's success in it's mainstream sound and although it only has one hit on it, it's sound is cohesive all throughout the EP.
Hoping to hear some more hits and songs from these guys and hopi
Ok so I'm going to rate this EP out of ten. I think putting it on a scale is fresh
Setting Fires : 6.5/10
All We Know : 7.5/10
Closer : 8.5/10
Inside Out: 6/10
Don't Let Me Down : 6.5/10
The GOOD:
- For songs like "All We Know" and "Closer" I thought their build ups were appropriate and it paid off in the choruses of them.
- I also really enjoyed the use of the prominent synth in both of those songs
- Even though I didn't enjoy most of the songs on this EP, the songs still had a consistent sound and you can always appreciate that
THE BAD:
- However, I did feel that Setting Fires, Inside Out, and Don't Let Me Down were pretty bland and generic.
- I feel that their choruses, (especially Inside Out's) were pretty weak
- I think there could have been more versatility with the male vocal
- I think their should have been more versatility in the female vocalist's tones -- different vocalists should be used
