Review Summary: UP and Over an album that has all Drone Violins, Tribal Drumming, Over all no idea of what was the experience just you enter In and feel it yourself.
Jackie-O Mother***er is one of the intense artists present in todays date we all understand post rock and its elements to keep it happy with the crescendo where it builds up to something massive and then suddenly it dissapears the feeling is unnique just like free falling . But Jackie-O Mother***er are different they are not totally post rock they have various instruments playing in this album Fig.5 the start to the end its is ornated with violins and many instruments joining creating choas in the ears of the listener.
Jackie-O Mother***er had begun as a duo consisting of multi-intrumentalist Tom Greenwood and Saxophonist Nester Bucket by the passing years the band has seen immense changes maturity the group has seen more then forty members from the US scenario.
As I am hearing the album more and more Fig.5 has started drawing different meaning in itself from the first song Analogue Skillet to Madame Curie the albums builds up this thinking of simple creations of many instruments coming together forming a string which is passing by you everytime you hear this album. The album has its upward moving style keeping your hopes elevated constanly never letting you drop the suddenly drops you of heights making you crush under the heavy violin entry.
Lost in the elevation of album the third song is one of the mad songs Your Cells Are In Motion which has a mad closure and after that song there is Go Down,OLd Hannah which has singing which is starts very scary note the song is setting you into the start of something which isnt beautiful the Space-rock feel.
Entering into the next song Amazing grace which again has the prominent violin haunting into the ears taking over the mind simple instruments creating such mad wave lenghts letting you think more cross check ones own existence, the song progresses into a mad void that it leads you into the building up drums taking over folk elements.
Jackie-O Mother***er is Folk oriented and as well as Space-Rock the heaviness that the entire band can provide into its music is the factor we all look for ahead entering into Beautiful September ( We Are Going There) this very song i like it cause it has basic elements singing and the constant progression into something unknown and then constant progression repeatitive tune for the extreme droning feel taking you in.
Seventh song a Chiapas ! I MUST GO THERE a filler and ending it with Madame Curie sounding like an alarm into the ear the best part is a drowning sense of the intense album is now finished.
