Review Summary: Its no Count Your Blessings, but thank god it isnt another Suicide Season.

When Bring Me The Horizon stepped into the scene in 2006, I was 16 years old and thought I would never hear a band better than BMTH, but as I grew up I realized that BMTH as a band, had alot of growing up to do.

So when Suicide season was released I thought maybe they would be more put together, and the lyrics would grow a little. but boy was I wrong. Suicide Season was nothing but a party soundtrack, and a girls wet dream.
When BMTH announced a new album I was all but excited to hear once again what this band could do for music.

Watching the music video for " it never ends ", I didnt understand why Oliver was the only member in the video, and why they would release something so similar to Suicide Season. But as i listened on, I started to hear a more electronic sound that was new, and not the cookie cutter dance beats all the other bands are doing nowadays. The keyboard fit so well.

As I waited for more tracks to be leaked, I wondered, if their new guitarist Jona, formerly of I Killed The Prom Queen, would be doing any clean vocals, like he did with IKTPQ, So when I heard F*ck, I was instantly impressed, i thought BMTH has everything together, Jona has clean vocals, they are cleaning up everything, they have grown up lyrically. but BOY was I in for a let down.

I soon found out that Jona has no vocals on the album, nor does the guitar sound any different. The vocals in F*ck are from Josh of You Me At Six , the song is great, it sounds like a deep and thoughtful love song. Then I read the lyrics, same ol' Bring Me The Horizon. The song isnt about being in love, its about random sex.

With songs like Blacklist, rumored to be about the former guitarist, you can sense anger and hatred towards Curtis for leaving the band. Alot of the songs have very anti religion lyrics, and surprisingly well thought out lyrics.

The guest appearances are well put together, Lights, on tracks Dont go and Crucify Me, are amazing, she fits so well with BMTH's new sound, that you would think she was another new member of the band.

songs like It never ends and Anthems should have not been on this album because they do not fit. Olivers vocals are more tolerable on this album than on Suicide Season. The drums have gotten a tad weak sense Count Your Blessings, but I think BMTH has grown into their music shoes with the new addition of keyboard, and has found their sound.

Pros:
Keyboard
Guest vocals
More mature in some areas.

Cons:
No Jona
Some songs dont fit
still immature in most areas.

Yeah man, lots of punctuation problems in your review... Run it through spell check/grammar check on MS Word or something before you submit it...

I'm starting to dislike this band more and more everyday. They're excruciatingly popular... AKA, way overrated. People listen to this stuff thinking it's hardcore and depressing. All it is is a bunch of young dudes swearing into a microphone with generic beats in the background.

Mainly, I'm tired of seeing this band get a new review every single day.

You will learn that no review on here is "easy." Rightly so, you get criticized for every review mercilessly. And by the way, Jona was on this album
