This album has the elements of hard rock like Guns n Roses, and the grunge style from Stone Temple Pilots. All the songs are great on this album, and, amazingly, Scott has a different voice in almost every song. He is an amazing vocalist.
1. Sucker Train Blues - This is one of the better songs on the album. Scott's vocals are quite good especially in the chorus. This song definately shows what you are about to expect for this album
10/10
2. Do it For the Kids - Another great song. Definately a hard rocker, great song overall.
10/10
3. Big Machine - In my opinion, you can really hear Stone Temple Pilots come out on this track. It is an interesting and original song. Very cool.
9.5/10
4. Illegal I Song - A great song...Matt puts some great drumming in this song. I like Scott's voice in this one. Slash puts in an interesting solo
9.5/10
5. Spectacle - Probably my least favorite on the album...which really is a statement. if this is the worst song on the album...we're in for a good album. The main riff is similar to "Fuel" by Metallica...only one string higher.
8/10
6. Fall to Pieces - I'm sure most of you have heard this one...it is a ballad, so, as usual, it is commonly played on the radio. I really enjoy this song, and it is beautiful when played live. Slash really puts a cool solo in this one.
10/10
7. Headspace - This is probably my favorite track on the album. Something must have happened in the recording process of this song, because it is quieter than every other song on the album. Either way, this one still really rocks hard, and is a good song to get up and jump around to. Slash puts an interesting and unique solo in this one.
10/10
8. Superhuman - Slash opens with a really interesting riff. I LOVE the chorus in this song, Scott puts some really cool vocals in it. Another great song
10/10
9. Set Me Free - Another one of my favorites on the album. It's fast and just awesome. It is featured on the Hulk Soundtrack. I love this song...I play it every morning cuz it really helps me wake up.
10/10
10. You Got No Right - A beautiful song. I remember at the concert, this is where Slash came out with the top hat, double neck guitar, and a cigarette. This is such a beautiful song. Scott's voice is incredible. Slash puts another great solo in this one, alot similar sounding to the one in Fall to Pieces
10/10
11. Slither - This is one of their bigger songs. It is played on the radio...i think this was the first song they released, if not it was Set Me Free. Slither is a straight ahead rock song, and really defines the album. If you liked this song, definately get this album. If you thought this song was just okay, still get this album, because most songs are better than this one. Slash puts in an amazing wah wah solo in here.
9.5/10
12. Dirty Little Thing - One of my favorite Velvet Revolver songs as well. Slash puts in an absolutely stunning solo. This song gets me pumped up, and I just love it. Scott's voice is amazing in the chorus especially.
10/10
13. Loving the Alien - Interesting song. I generally don't like when rock albums end the album with a slow song...but this definately fit. Scott really puts out with the lyrics in this one. They are very personal. There is some interesting guitar in this one. Great album closer.
10/10
Overall...if you are a fan of REAL rock and roll, definately get this album. If you like Guns n Roses or Stone Temple Pilots, definately get this album. Either way, there is a huge chance that you will love this album.
Trust me, it's worth your $15
