Bart Frydrychowicz - Guitars, Vocals
Yanic Bercier - Drums

quo vadis album day into night is a great one. the guitar and drum work is awesome but the vocals could be better. this album was released in 2000 and is GREAT! most metal bands now-a-days have no talent. not with quo vadis in day into night. the guitar playing is probably the most noticable part in this cd. great riffs, great solos and has some acoustic in it also.

1. Absolution (Element of the Ensemble III) 05:43 - the first song on the cd ussually gives a first impression. this song start with a fast pace guitar riff then comes in with the vocals. near the end it starts getting faster and more melodic. 4/5

2. Dysgenics 05:55 my fav song on the cd. if your gonna dl any song by quo vadis i recomend this one. starts with guitar then with a great double bass drum section. no vocals until about 1:30. the solo to this song fits the song perfect. solo never gets old 5/5

3. Hunter/Killer 05:18 this song dosent hav as long of a intro to dysgenics but the chorus is a catchy guitar riff then the double bass comes in. the pre-lude and solo is pretty good also 5/5

4. Hunter/Killer : Endgame 02:02 this song has no vocal in it. stricly guitar and drums. starts with distortion then comes in almost a drum solo with a clean low guitar riff. then the lead guitar takes over. lots of change in this song. its fast then slow, then fast again, then what, o man its alow again. 4.4/5

5. Let it Burn 06:21 thre 2nd longest song on the cd. intro isnt all that great but the chorus is my favorite part in this song. this song could be repeative but still a good song 4/5

6. Dream 05:11 intro to this song is slow for a change. with the clean guitar. there are no vocals on this song and is longer than hunter/killer :endgame i like it better than hunter/killer : endgame starts off slow then ends with a face pace solo 5/5

7. On the Shores of Ithaka 06:51 another one of my favs on this album. i like the guitar in this song. starts off alright but when the singing starts the guitar is great. 5/5

8. Night of the Roses 00:37 no vocals once again. more of a marching song. good song to play before you go do something stressfull. not a long song but just a riff of guitar. 3.5/5

9. I Believe 05:08 good drums in this one. lots of double bass and not very fast guitars in this one, more off the power chords. until you get later in the song. then the pace picks up. really awesome solo too. fits the rythem guitar. not a long solo but still alright. then at about 3:10 it stops and you think the songs done but no theres still more to come. this is the best part. the guitars and drums dual it off then the vocals come back into the picture the guitars in this one arnt more hard to play but more sounds good to the ears 5/5

10. Mute Requiem 04:03 according to quo vadis official web site this i what the songs called but i have it to be called "point of no return (the mute requiem)" call it what you want still the same song with the same old great guitar and drum work. 4/5

11. Cadences of Absonance 05:12 i have this one to be called "Point of No Return II (Cadences of Absonence)" but whatever. starts with waves and clean guitar. slower intro than normal. but then gets back into business. more melodic guitars until about 1:30 the singing in this song is different too. he yells, and whispers. the song stops and theres a secrete part at the end. nothing special. good song though 4.5/5

i give the entire album a 4.5/5
its not a 5/5 cuase id like a little more diversity in the vocals, all it is, is the death metal growl, but you may like that
its not anything under a 4.5 becuase the guitars and drums are amazing. i like guitar based bands, (as you might see in the review) and this is a great guitar album.

Accessible but not too far afield. Relentless riffs and menacing vocals make this one a keeper....

Oh, I figured. You might as well have left that comment out then, becuase none of those bands are metal.

Then what are they? licoln park might be rock but kittie and slipknot are nu-METAL. see the word metal is in all caps becuase thats what is it. a sub genre of Metal. quo vadis is a metal band and so is slipknot, and kittie. quo vadis has talent. slipknot and kittie dont. thats what i was trying to say
(except corey taylor from slipknot, he has alot of talent.)

Bercier is such a good drummer. Possibly the best metal drummer ever. His fills are just insane most of the time; if you've seen any of Quo Vadis' videos, you will agree.

This is a pretty damn good album...the drums are NUTS. "Dysegenics" is probably the best track here...a great overall piece of melodic death.

What do you mean Slipknot have no talent...Joey Jordison is one of the best drummers in the world. Plus the guitarists are not slouches either; Mick Thompson can definitely shred with the best of them.

In fact, Bart Frydrychowicz may have did some backing vocal but that,s it, also Stephane Paré isn't on this album, Arie Itman sing and play guitar on this and also on forever. Forest is th bassist for this album and forever too.
