Loving that chorus.
| |
better than anything off silverline
good song
| |
Good chorus, terrible verse.
| |
chorus is bangin ye
| |
There's an EP called Convinced coming out June 30th
| |
I didnt realize Anberlin was this heavy
| |
They’re not. I love the direction they’re going in.
| |
Already growing off me but it was also just the 2nd listen. Maybe more growth is coming.
| |
Theyve been this heavy before on maybe 4 or so songs.
| |
Two Graves is probably their heaviest song but this is up there. They do the heavier side of their sound really well.
| |
Heavy Anberlin songs: We Owe This To Ourselves, Never Take Friendship Personal, To The Wolves, the original Feel Good Drag
| |
Resistance, Godspeed
| |
Glass To The Arson too especially Glass To The Arson
| |
That's a weird first list Storm, almost feels like you're trolling outside of The Feel Good Drag hahaha.
Paperthin Hymn, The Feel Good Drag, Resistance, Little Tyrants, Someone Anyone, Dissenter (though that one sucks), Two Graves and Circles are the Anberlin songs that are in the same ballpark of "heavy" as this.
| |
Self-Starter, Little Tyrants, We Are Destroyer
We don't talk about Dissenter
| |
Dead American, Self-Starter, Little Tyrants arguably
| |
Thank you Emim, Dissenter is garbage hahaha
| |
Oh nice Emim
| |
Peart beat me to it
| |
If Lacerate is the first song on the album or like track 8 i wouldnt expect more than one more heavy song but i could be totally wrong.
| |
It's the opener of a 5 track EP
| |
Okay yeah then it will be the heaviest.
| |
Tracklist from what I saw:
1. Lacerate
2. Decoder
3. Banshee
4. Animals
5. Nothing More (almost 8 min track)
| |
Oh snap
| |
Decoder and Banshee both sound like heavy Anberlin songs.
| |
I would've put money on then having a song called Decoder already
| |
What the fuck is wrong with Dissenter, that track rules
| |
Stephens most questionable lyrics.
| |
Y’know I never read the lyrics before and that first verse especially is a little eyebrow-raising lol. Musically tho it’s a banger
| |
Even musically I don't like it. That chorus is the most annoying thing ever, it sucks.
| |
It's growing on me because I'm a sucker for anything Anberlin, but I don't know. Stephen's distinct vocals are drowned out within the harsh vocals. It doesn't sound like Anberlin to me. I can listen to Bring Me the Horizon for shitty generic metalcore.
| |
“Good chorus, terrible verse.”
My thoughts too
| |
Agree with that. Not a big fan of the song either.
| |
chorus is on the same level as the verse, idk what yall are smoking. really disappointing vocals in the chorus ngl
| |
Crazy ep cover
| |
I wish I liked the verse a lot more than I do, but new Anberlin in the year of our lord 2023 is a gift in my eyes. Looking forward to the EP! I had a legitimate sinking feeling in my gut for years after the last LP thinking we'd never see new material.
| |
I don't think this is any 'heavier' than their other songs in this style
| |
Wait so the og vocalist isn't even on this? How is this anberlin?
| |
He definitely is, might be someone else on the verses though
| |
That ain't him. Look it up
| |
Whats so bad about dissenter?
| |
@twilight
He's definitely singing the higher octave in the chorus and the second verse. Just look at the video bro it's pretty obvious.
@MusicinaBox
Annoying chorus and shitty lyrics mostly
| |
The song starts with Christian, the guitarist. Stephen def is on this also. Watch the video
| |
I just realized this song is if Anberlin were Boston Manor.
| |
ooo, I could go for some dual vox Anberlin. Stephen typically does a lot of overlapping vocal lines in studio anyway so it could work. Too bad they are pretty much only doing harmonies here
| |
Agreed on good chorus, verses very meh
