Timo Tolkki's Strato to release debut LP 2023-06-02 by Voivod STAFF | 6 Comments | In a recent series of posts at his Facebook page, Timo Tolkki announced that he has joined forces with ex-Stratovarius members Tuomo Lassila and Antti Ikonen, to form Timo Tolkki's Strato.
The band, whose debut album Return to Dreamspace has been slated for an October 27 release through Warner Music Japan, is planning to revive the spirit of early '90s Stratovarius, namely their first four albums.

The planets have finally been aligned, this was a long time coming.
| | | I don't know what to think but I'm curious
| | | I’m curious too, especially since I really miss this sound.
Project is on the works since 2009, don’t know why it took them so long to really make it official, with an album announcement.
| | | Holy shit... if we get something along the lines of the original Dreamspace from this, I'm all in
| | | I actually haven't really heard any Stratovarius before Episode so I may take the opportunity to do just that. Count me in as curious too.
| | | ^ oh man, you really need to get on Dreamspace. One of the most underrated/overlooked power metal albums out there, with a dark, almost unnerving atmosphere and progressive songwriting
