This is one of the most upsetting musician deaths for me in awhile, band is massively overlooked on this website and in general

Really fucking gutted over this one. One of a kind and a tremendously kind and generous talent and person. It's not fair.
Rest in power

Never heard PMFS but damn, he was my age, can't imagine what his family and friends are going through. Rest in peace.

RIP, his voice was one of my faves ever. Y'all should also check out Ball of Light since he did backing vox for them on their last ep and album

Never heard of this band until now but what I'm hearing from Up In Them Guts is raw af. A unique voice and a big loss.

They’re def one of those bands whose influence was much greater than their fame. I think there’s only one review for one of their EPs on here which is a shame

the terrible news i've been expecting for a year or so now.. so damn sad, absolutely love PMFS and his unique voice. RIP Gared. you fought hard.

recently i ordered some merch from them and Gared sent me the "First Four Years" CD even though i didn't even order it, with a note attached that said "you might not have this one? -Gared". what a cool dude.

been listening to them since i was a teenager in the late 90s, and i'm still not bored of any of their releases. they basically didn't release filler, just kick ass songs that i will be blasting as long as my ears can hear.

please everyone check out their last album from 2016 called "Prey", it's really amazing IMHO.

I don't feel comfortable listening to new music from Gared and don't know when I will be so I really cannot begin to imagine how painful it has to be for the band to put his material together without him

I'm so fucking sad about this

Also yeah check Prey [2]

One of the greats. Those who don't look at his fronted projects need only listen to "You Burn First" by Alexisonfire to see his grit and power.
