Well this is actually pretty good, I think I'm getting used to their new music style
| |
I'm not huge on that chorus but there was a lot of cool stuff in that track. REALLY liked that cello solo and then guitar solo. Can't wait for the album TBH.
| |
Rulez ahrd
| |
is this another song that builds up for 5 minutes and then, splash, the climax?
| |
It's not actually, it's quite different
| |
it ~kind of~ was
i dig the brass and strings though
| |
The cello solo is amazing, really glad they're allowing their new player to leave his mark. Drums are on point, good drumming is also recognising what the song's all about. I know we're not getting an album full of same songs, but a more well rounded Pitfalls formula. If the Congregation was the culmination of what Coal put forward, then this might be thir perfect blend of prog/pop that Pitfalls started (and highly succeeded in, imo)
| |
I dig it, the dynamic of their music became more rich and full with their new style
| |
Yeah this rules hard, the strings sound very similar to the kind of stuff off A Moon Shaped Pool.
| |
Sounds better than most of the stuff on Pitfalls. Very good song.
| |
Wow this is nice
| |
Great song. I really like the commitment to the art-rock direction they're continuing to go in with some nice brass and string inclusions. However, every time I hear the chorus I think of the "Spiritual Lyrical Miracle Individual" meme and I haven't been able to get that out of my head since.
| |
To me it sounds like Supertramp's Logical Song smh
| |
Definitely more a fan of this than their last album. This seems like their last with the ideas more fleshed out and composed better.
| |
Damn, this year is really ramping up.
| |
Man, I don't know if I even should write my opinion on this - since they went from progmetal to progpop, their music just isn't for me.. not that the music is bad, definitely not, it's just not for me.. but I'm glad that other people still like them - they are all really, really talented
| |
It's all good man, maybe they'll click eventually, maybe they won't! I remember pushing myself to like Bilateral, though. I was hooked on Coal but their previous work was too much for me. And guess what I think of Bilateral now!
| |
a lyrical miracle aha
| |
This band's transformation into an art-rock band has been quite nice.
| |
fuck i cant stand this dudes voice anymore. maybe it always sounded like this, but it was heaps more tolerable on the earlier albums.
| |
I also thought his singing on this was a bit annoying, he's just overdoing it
| |
'To me it sounds like Supertramp's Logical Song smh'
as if that's a bad thing? Logical Song is incredible....
| |
Beyond upset with this band, his singing on both these new tracks has been so extra and the choruses lazy af.
| |
@Titan I didn't mean to sound disappoving. I love the Logical Song
| |
Yeah man I would've sworn that song would've been in your wheelhouse
| |
yes, it's fire 🔥
| |
Loved it, best they've made in a while.
| |
castaway angels was amazing but this new one i didn't feel that much
| |
"time to make ah-may-huYHENDS
"make sure that it eh-HEYENDS"
etc
he really does over-sing on this huh
really lazy chorus too
not a fan tbh
| |
god, I love this new style like most of you. Pitfalls was on repeat for awhile in this household.
this single will be the same. hope the album is just as good.
| |
I've listened to the single a few times, but I'm trying not to overplay so that I don't ruin the beginning of the album
| |
Take a shot every time Einar shouts "Aaaaaaahh"
