New Sleater-Kinney Album, Single

2021-05-11 by SandwichBubble | 10 Comments
Sleater-Kinney has announced their follow-up to their polarizing 2019 record, The Center Won’t Hold. Now a duo following the departure of Janet Weiss, Corin Tucker and Carrie Brownstein have also taken the reigns in the studio. Their new album, Path of Wellness, will be the band's first album to be self-produced. The album's first single, "Worry With You," has also been released alongside the album announcement.

Path of Wellness will be out June 11 via Mom + Pop Music.

Pretty sure there's bad blood/drama between St Vincent and Brownstein so she's definitely not involved

Decent song, particularly like the heavy-ish guitar hook in the chorus, but these vocals/melodies are just like, kinda not good

@someone all hail the template

Song is awful, but at least I was wrong about them doubling down on their last album's sound.
Now they just sound like a generic 2010s indie band.

Oh god this is terrible, the vocals just ruin the song. Blech.

Right, so - still feeling raw about this band being a duo now, despite of my defense of the last album. Let's see what happens with this one, song's fine.

Third album since Portlandia and third Carrie-sung lead single (when we all know Sleater-Kinney is at their most exhilarating when Corin’s singing). Hmmm.
