New PVRIS Album Delayed, Again

2020-06-30 by Your #1 Most Loved Semiaquatic, Egg-Laying Mammal | 23 Comments
PVRIS' upcoming third album, 'Use Me,' has been delayed for a second time for COVID-19 related reasons. The album, which was originally announced to release on May 8, was eventually pushed back to July 10. However, Warner Bros has decided to push the album back even further to August 28. This delay is for both the physical release and the digital/streaming version as well.

Many big name albums were delayed in April and May due to the ongoing pandemic crisis, yet this seems to be the first mainstream album to be delayed a second time for the same reasons.

I’m not sure I’d call PVRIS mainstream yet

Also kinda funny considering we already have half the album out

... is this the label of pvris's fault.

I feel like most bands just said "F it, here is the music". Do they really think they will generate more money holding it longer?

From the sounds of it, it’s the label’s doing. I can’t imagine the band not wanting this to be released.

I don't know why I keep picking up their albums. I guess because there's usually one or two songs on each that I really like, even if I'm not the fond of the albums as a whole.

lol wait do people still actually buy physical cd discs for music? That industry has surely all but evaporated by now. What about covid is stopping people from streaming music? I have more time on my hands than ever..

Yeah, concerts aren't gonna be back by August, so I don't get the decision at all.

I’d hazard a guess this is so they can drop the physical and digital release at the same time rather than have it be staggered, that can harm sales
