Wake of Sirens stream debut LP 2020-04-04 by Sevengill | 1 Comments | Boston power/folk metal band Wake of Sirens has released its debut album The Blackest Deep, which is now available on most platforms. The cinematic six-song LP features a range of styles from progressive metal to folk and classical in telling the story of explorer Ernest Shackleton's famed and ill-fated 1914 voyage across Antarctica.
Founded in 2015 by keyboardist Alex Newton, Wake of Sirens employed studio musicians from projects such as Sekengard, Leprous, and This or the Apocalypse in creating The Blackest Deep, but has since settled down with new touring lineup. The band has promised half of its profits from the album to Union Capital's COVID-19 charitable relief efforts.
Track list:
1. Men of Fate 08:16
2. Prevail 06:48
3. Until You Slip Away 05:31
4. The Blackest Deep 00:58
5. Owned By the Ocean 06:13
6. Cape Evans 10:23
