Bambara sing to the street

Brooklyn-based post-punk trio Bambara have shared a second single from their upcoming studio album Stray.

‘Sing Me to the Street’ dials back the band's typically noisy tendencies for something more sultry and dreamy. The song features ethereal backing vocals from Anina Ivry-Block (Palberta) and Drew Citron (Beverly, Public Practice).

Lead singer Reid Bateh had this to say about the song:

’Sing Me to the Street’ is about loneliness, isolation, and the dreamy allure of chaos. The song follows an unnamed character wandering the streets of a vast city that feels both alive and abandoned, as he attempts to silence the persistent song of oblivion singing in his head”.

The previously released lead single ’Serafina’ can also be heard below:

Stray releases on February 14th, 2020 through Wharf Cat records.

Both of these are great, but Sing Me To The Street... now that one's special.

Almost saw them live with Idles earlier this year, when they come around again I'll be sure to catch them

Also saw them with Idles and they blew me away. One of those bands that are shockingly way better live than they are on record. Can't wait to see them again.

Most anticipated 2020 record for me at the moment
Shadow on Everything will be hard to top but the singles give every indication that their gonna knock it out of the park

as someone who loved Shadow on Everything, these last two singles have left me kinda floored. The band have really honed in on their sound, and I'm incredibly excited to hear the result.

Also the refrain and general mood of this track is chilling, to say the least.
