I like
| |
ugh
| |
Will check this soon.
| |
lol, I just posted an article for this with a much stupider description than yours. Getting some heavy Absu vibes, which is something I never thought I would say about a Deafheaven song..
| |
better than the whole album
| |
@dungeon - it's not stupid hahaha! i like the more lax tone!
| |
pretty good i like i like
| |
Damn, I didn't expected this...the best type of surprise. I love it. This song is just...
"better than the whole album" [2]
| |
better than the whole album [3]
| |
Well it only has to be average to be 10000000 times better than Ordinary.
| |
Now this was the direction I was hoping they'd go post-New Bermuda
| |
Generic and lame. At least Ordinary was trying to experiment with a new format.
| |
I think this was recorded recently, not from their sessions from the previous release
| |
@robot - this was literally taken from their bandcamp:
"GRAMMY-nominated metal band Deafheaven have released a new song titled “Black Brick.” The track is a B-side from their latest album Ordinary Corrupt Human Love. "
| |
wow so it's like Deafheaven but with no atmosphere whatsoever
idk give me the actual tracks of Ordinary Corrupt Human Love and all their schmaltz, more interesting than this
| |
This song would fit seamlessly on the New Bermuda album. It has a more generic metal feel than any of the songs of OCHL.
| |
i'm not sure i understand the logic behind calling it generic metal but ... go off
| |
Weither you like them or not, Clarke's vox are crazy good and he's really killing it here. Track is awesome and really constrasting compared to the major key gazing on OCHL
| |
Generic and lame??? Wtf, I don't know where did you get this. Are you sure you have listened this one?
| |
OCHL was not a generic, lame and boring metal album, because it was a generic and boring post-rock album. No metal in sight.
| |
so you haven't listened to the album i take it
| |
Real good track tbh, I want a full black thrash release from them now
| |
I missed me some good Deafheaven metal riffing. This is good.
| |
This goes absolutely hard. Doesn't sound like a B-Side to Ordinary at all tho lol
| |
Honestly wouldn't mind them going into this heavier direction
| |
This is a little bit something I've already heard too many times to be that interested in
| |
@Lunatic i feel ya but the vocals really get a chance to shine
| |
@Papa Universe I was talking about this song in particular. But yeah you are right about Ordinary.
| |
that was HOT
| |
Fuck yes this kills.
| |
wait where the hell did I comment before....
| |
This is better than anything off the last record
| |
This track makes me believe a black thrash direction would work, especially with Clarke's vocals. I'm worried about the creativity in their songwriting though, as it's been getting more predictable with every release.
| |
not better than most of OCHL
| |
Honestly I dug the softer side of Deafheaven but this has got some riffage
| |
wow this is formulaic af, I much prefer anything off of Sunbather or even Ordinary over this
| |
God their vocalist is abysmal.
| |
their vocalist is far and away the reason they're anything special to begin with.
| |
excellent track
| |
with a little more separation and atmosphere in the mix this could have been a sick closing track to the last album haha. the vocals at the end are particularly juicy.
| |
SourPls
| |
@user their vocalist is like a 12 year old trying to be brvtal. The over emphasis, the terrible rhythm, the not knowing when to do spoken word instead of shrieked vocals.... there is literally nothing good about him.
| |
"wow this is formulaic af"
Almost every single song by this band uses the same formula
| |
