Eh, it’s good but not great. A fun pop song but it never builds to anything and the chorus gets a bit repetitive by the end. Not bad, but nothing special. Weakest single easily.

I don't care about the direction change. There's many bands that have done it right. BMTH hasn't. What's with the really poor lyrics, I feel they're even worse than Spirit?
| |
Def the worst one they’ve released so far.
| |
cant wait for amo to be heavily praised in 3 years
| |
Personally I really like this song. BMTH is one of the bands who got me into heavier music so they will always be at least listenable to me. Both medicine and this are pretty fun pop-rock songs, Wonderful Life is only OK while Mantra does nothing for me. However even that was fun hearing live
| |
idk about this one, it's kinda different, not sure if I like it.
| |
still can't take the fact that they're using the unicursal hexagram as their logo seriously at all
| |
this is their worst song since the half of Suicide Season I regularly lambast
| |
Jesus lol. This is fucking terrible.
| |
Bring Me The Chainsmokers instead ty
| |
better than Imagine Dragons when it comes to pop rock, but it's still pretty soulless made-specifically-for-the-top-40 genericore.
| |
This is bad. Their first 2 singles were good. Medicine was eh. This is bad.
| |
i'd be fine with them going in a more pop direction if the songs weren't so fucking boring
| |
bring me the top 40
| |
god damn
| |
I don't think any other band has ever gone from deathcore to straight up pop music.
| |
Only decent single so far. the other 3 are complete shitshows
| |
they took “Punk/Rock Goes Pop” way too seriously
| |
"I don't think any other band has ever gone from deathcore to straight up pop music."
Dave knudson going from botch to minus the bear is as close as i can think of.
| |
these guys and metallica need to go on tour together, I bet it would sell out
| |
I'll give this song props on one thing: it feels more genuine lyrically than "Follow You", like there's a certain specificity that Follow You just didn't have.
| |
Think of it this way: it seemed like Oli was blindly in love with Hannah (subject of "Follow You"), this time with Alissa (subject of this song) it seems far more authentic.
| |
Fucking what
| |
I'm not saying this is a good song, again it's one of their worst tracks.
| |
Just when you think they can't get any worse! The melody sounds like every fucking pop song on the radio atm
There is nothing authentic about them what so ever and I don't think a band has ever so desperately tried to break into the mainstream.
| |
Generic.
| |
Doesn't one of the Deathcab guys have a metal band?
But yeah, played Pray for Plagues and Medicine back to back this morning just for fun. Still I do like bands that try to reinvent themselves, even if there is a false start here and there.
| |
WOOF
| |
Well, that was underwhelming bland radio rock.
Blessed With A Curse is still the only song by these guys that I dig.
| |
MANTRA was really fun with the video, but on it’s own it was quite bland. Wonderful life was actually fun, until that ”bounce”-part which was cringe. Medicine and this are just... nothing
| |
Feeling very mixed about this as well as the other songs. Wonderful life grew on me, so did Mantra. But this and Medicine are just eh. Still gonna listen to the whole album on Friday
| |
I get the feeling the keyboardist will be filling in most of the vocal duties when they play this live
| |
Lmao wtf is this shit
| |
KingdomLeaks gonna lose their fucking mind they're obsessed with this shit
| |
If you had told me that one day the latest Busted singles would be heavier than the latest BMTH I would have laughed in your face.
| |
A modern day Sugar Ray
| |
Sugar Ray actually has memorable pop songs though
| |
Sugar Gay
| |
Imagine the Horizon
Bring Me the Dragons
| |
Bring Me The Dragons, Khaleesi's favorite band.
| |
Not very good sadly , very disappointed in this song. Maybe I should stop getting my hopes up lol.
| |
Absolute worse thing they have ever released , song is garbage even for a radio pop song.
| |
Better than Medicine and Wonderful Life
| |
Amazing how polarizing these songs are, they’ve accomplished their goal, the hype is huge cause no one really knows what to expect
| |
I often comment on these kinds of posts and I'm usually all in favour of a band doing "its thing" and following whatever trend they wish to. However, this is GODDAMN AWFUL. I was actually excited for this album and was going to buy it on the 25th but these last two tracks have completely killed any kind of hype I had for this album.
| |
stopped caring in like 2014
| |
Alright bloc I'll amend my statement:
Bring Me the Horizon are our generation's Sugar Ray, just without the hooks or energy. Plus at least when Sugar Ray sold out they owned it and didn't pretend like they were doing "crazy experimental stuff" when in reality it's just a bland pop album.
| |
Much better! : )
| |
I like it.
| |
Listened to the album its good
| |
listened to the album its awful
| |
Listened to the album its good [2]
| |
Are you losers listening to a leak or some lame shit
| |
Yeah there’s a leak, gonna wait anyway
| |
Sorry, double
| |
@Wonder: yeah, couldn't resist
| |
This is bad. Their first 2 singles were good. Medicine was eh. This is bad. [2]
| |
lol why would you listen to this band's leaks
| |
Here's a metalcore cover of Medicine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KwYyTEb34xY&feature=youtu.be
