Static-X/DevilDriver Tour2019-01-22 by DatsNotDaMetulz | 13 Comments
|The surviving members of the Wisconsin Death Trip era of Static-X (Tony Campos, Koichu Fukuda, Ken Jay) have announced that they will head out on a North American tour to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut album, with a series of shows in memoriam of Wayne Static. It is unknown who will perform vocals for the band, although it has been suggested that the band intends to keep the singers' identities secret before each show.|
Accompanying them on this tour are DevilDriver and Dope. DevilDriver frontman Dez Fafara has confirmed on Twitter that the group will perform Coal Chamber songs in this tour, stating that "I waited years & tried to keep [the two bands] separate but it’s time for me to embrace all that I am as a singer."

I will definitely be there for this
Digging: Shadow of Intent - Melancholy
so down for a static-x show
Will be going to the Cleveland date, hyped as hell for this
I think I heard the singers are being kept secret cos they want people to show up because of Wayne, not because of whoever the singer on a particular night is.
Wayne fell out with Campos before he died, Tera fell out with him too if I remember correctly, I can't help but feel this isn't in good taste. Wayne wouldn't have wanted this at all I don't think
Digging: Blanck Mass - Animated Violence Mild
@SweeneyTodd I feel the same. This whole thing has a whole Sublime with Rome kinda feeling. It's even weirder if they are straight up having someone up on stage with a mask and the Wayne Static hairdo.
I doub't they'll do that, but Campos seems like a slimey dude, I think this is a pure money grab
Been listening to some old X albums and really enjoying them more then I should but I don't know how I would feel without out wayne being there...
I mean you can't really blame them for a cash grab, they were 3/4 of a band that created iconic records in the nu-metal genre and they should be able to tour and play the music they created as well with Wayne to earn a living.
Surely Wayne would be cool with it especially using his old music for a new Static X album. Let the men do their jobs.
Gotta try to hit this.

yea but since they kicked the bucket the estate falls unto Campos, oh well.

that'll be hilarious if that's the case
