Seems weaker than their previous material
| |
Yeah this is pretty bad
And the mixing is atrocious.
Not really sure what they were going for here
| |
this really makes me miss This is the Six
| |
I like it a bit more on a second listen, lyrics are pretty bad and I hate the little whispers rapping thrown in there, but it’s pretty catchy and I’m really digging the little drum fills near the middle.
| |
Pretty much abandoning their original sound but I dig it. Little bit of a Frank Carter and The Rattlesnakes vibe.
| |
I thought this was okay tbh
| |
Meh
| |
Did they seriously go for nu-metal in 2018?
| |
holy shit this is awful
| |
the band's upcoming album So What?
| |
how did the band hear the mixing on this and think t sounded ok? it’s insanely shitty
| |
It’s a yikes from me dawg
| |
Also, that album art is atrocious.
| |
im not anti social im anti bullshit xDDDDDddddDD
| |
I mean, nu metal has been on the comeback for a few years now. This is still a way better take on 2010s nu metal than BMTH.
| |
Implying there’s any good take on nu metal in the first place
| |
This ain't it sarge
| |
Pretty terrible, could barely contain myself reading the lyrics.
| |
Yep. They're going for quantity over quality now.
| |
good song
| |
It's okay.
| |
Yuck.
| |
I agree this is pretty bad, especially the production and mix. I wasnt really a fan of the last album either.
| |
Not an Anthrax cover? Much disappoint
| |
Its a good first single, seems like an attempt to get new listeners with the whispered rap bits and toned down mixing while keeping their anti-establishment theme.
I think its ok, hope the album doesn't all sound like this tho
| |
I'd never heard of this band until this morning and I liked this song a ton. It gave me some 2012-2015 Enter Shikari vibes. I can't compare it to their older work like everyone else in the comments but I just checked out Silence Speaks and dug it a lot too.
| |
album is called "So What?" wtffff. That's two awful album titles in a row. It's like these guys are turning into teenagers again. Also this doesn't even come out till March, why the fuck announce it like 5 months early jesus christ
| |
Okay, never mind. Just listened to Seven Hills by them and it rips. Reminds me of the good ol' mid-2000s metalcore and Darkest Hour.
| |
yeah dude seven hills is one of my favorites. also listen to our courage our cancer, life in tension, new world torture, and our legacy
| |
Loz's vocals sound like they've improved. That's about the only thing that's improved.. lyrics are pretty shit and overall just a big disappointment for me. Album title sounds weak and quite lazy. Don't really know what to think of the rapping part.. I've been a huge fanboy on WSS for a couple years. Hope that doesn't end here.
| |
I added that album to my Google Play library so I'll give it some listens. I love metalcore that has great melodic flow like the verses of Seven Hills has so I'm looking forward to listening to more.
| |
Am I the only one that's reminded of Lostprophets by some of the riffs?
| |
I'm so glad i'm not the only one that hates this new direction they are going in. First couple of album were amazing but this is awful.
| |
wouldnt say they were amazing but they were decent
our courage our cancer goes hard still
| |
This is so disjointed and boring. The spoken word was whack and I really don't like Sean's voice at the best of times as it always sounds like bland gang vocals, stuck somewhere between yelling and singing. This song has just elevated that to another nu-metalesque level.
| |
As much as I wanted to like this and "you are we", I feel the utter need to express my dissapointment. What happened to them?
| |
Fuck yall this bangs
| |
yeah but you like bmth
| |
Not sure why tf everyone stills shits on production when listening to audio through a youtube video. YT's compression ruins not only the video quality but audio quality as well.
| |
Is this still bad?
| |
@PatientlyDead I can’t figure out if you’re trolling or not
| |
Havent seen a band fall this hard since ATR and all their albums after "The Fall of Ideals".
Lyrics are cheesy as hell and the whispers and god awful rap/nu metal is horrible.
How do these go from a great song like Hurricane to this shit?
| |
great question. tis sad.
