Amazing band, can't wait!

Somewhere Dedes just died from dehydration after he physically nutted every bit of moisture from his body.

“yawn”
Yawn at the fact that you make a new alt 5 times a day because you’re a loser that has no life and lives in his moms basement.
But yeah band slays album will rule as always.
|
| |
hell yes
|
| |
Love me some haggiscore
|
| |
I should probably check these guys, are they more towards the progressive/atmospheric side of the folky-BM spectrum?
|
| |
same sort of vein as winterfylleth or wodensthrone, very atmospheric but also fairly straightforward and intently focused on catchy melodies, defs more folk than prog
|
| |
Thanks. Could work. I need to expand my BM horizons, knowing what I'll like (or not) by reading descriptions is essentially futile at the minute. Also, I have very little to compare anything to.
I like Agalloch, Fen, Moonsorrow, Sacramentum, Dissection, Necrophobic, Deathspell, (some) Enslaved, (late) CoF, (thrash era) Immortal, the new Skeletonwitch etc. Not a fan of the traditional or 'pure' lo-fi/ambient stuff.
It's a work in progress.

"Yawn at the fact that you make a new alt 5 times a day because you’re a loser that has no life and lives in his moms basement."
Basement dwelling loser alert? noted
|
| |
@DotF: try some Castevet, Thantifaxath and Altar of Plagues. it's not pvre kvlt über-traditionalist amateur lo-fi bm.
|
| |
Thanks. Nearly forgot about DSO which Thantifaxath has in the 'recommended by reviewer' section.
|
| |
Thrawsunblat is pretty decent too. It started off as a side project for David Gold from Woods of Ypres and one of his bandmates, but is now basically the surviving members of the final WOY lineup.
|
| |
Got bosse de nage coming out this month, a spriitual successor to windir and now saor announce a new album. Black metal is really good to us these days my dudes
|
| |
Who’s ready for more mouth-full-of-socks vocals!
|
| |
DSO is awesome as well yes. they really have a unique sound and is more oriented in dissonance and chaos. very, very talented band and non-traditional (their later material, aka the material that matters).
|
| |
Stoked as hell, one of the best composers of modern times period.
"a spriitual successor to windir"
@Game, I hope you are referring to Cor Scorpii, cause these guys would make Valfor real proud.
|
| |
@osmark: no I mean DSO are a BM band that I like already. I forgot to add them to my earlier list.
|
| |
I wasn't too impressed with their previous albums but I see no reason not to check out this one.
|
| |
i wasn't impressed with guardians but i'll check this out considering aura was so good
|
| |
@DotF: right, my bad =)
|
| |
Vox are the worst part agreed and Aura was > agreed. But those whimsical flutes are something else
|
| |
Daaaaamn this is gonna be great
|
| |
vox are fine shouts of PAGAN FURY
|
| |
Shouts of PAGAN LAUNDRY
|
| |
Holy shit I skipped the Neige on vox.
His harsh vox are just pretty stale and lack a bit of dynamics. But whatever cause its never been a focal point, i.e. theres like 45s with growls in t/t of Guardians for like 12 min of blessed riffs and gorgeous violins
|
| |
Really stoked for this, so far all of their albums have been great
|
| |
roots > aura
|
| |
band spays my dogs tho theyre so good
|
| |
Man, he's fucking cranking them out. Love it though.
|
| |
The new vinyl is sexy as hell.
