Didn't really hear anything that was "Stranger Things-like". It was an okay song. Really picked up and got better towards the end.
| |
lol at not hearing the stranger things synth
pretty song
| |
Didn't you know anything with synth is now automatically a reference to Stranger Things?
| |
I love this song. Different for them and I think the lyrics are really creatively written.
| |
>Become increasingly generic and sanitized to the point where the instrumental performances are the only worthwhile facet of your sound left
>Get rid of the instruments next
Oh okay Thrice hehe
(Song has a sick like last minute tho I will concede)
| |
This is pretty much a TBEITN song with synths tacked on. Doesn't do much for me, and my hype is diminishing as Dustin's lyrics get worse over time
Sula, I'd never heard of NYVES but I loved me some Randy Torres when he was in P86, and Ryan Clark was always a pretty good vocalist tied to a crappy band in Demon Hunter, so I will check NYVES out pronto
| |
Thrice PRESENTS songs, other pleb bands only release them
| |
You... Spoony Bard!
| |
"Didn't really hear anything that was "Stranger Things-like""...
lol
| |
Dustin Kensrue is the spooniest bard
| |
Thrice’s best albums are a 3/5 *shrug*
| |
@decisions I was gonna say that's just a terrible statement/bait but the shrug lets me know you don't care how contrarian that opinion is and do indeed fuck, well played
| |
This is definitely U2's trippiest song.
| |
doin the slightly 80s synthwave kinda rock hm? yeah
i kinda dig the sound overall
| |
It's like an angsty 21st century "Imagine".
| |
This was pretty cool tbh
| |
loved this, really excited for the new album now
| |
God I fucking love Dustin's vocals
| |
big swing and a miss. no idea what happened to this band after Beggars but it weren't a good thing
| |
Really dig it. It's different than pretty much anything they've done since Alchemy Index. Was really nervous that we would get a fourth album that essentially attempts the same sound (grungy hard rock). Granted, this is still grungy hard rock but the synth and Vheissu-esque chord progression really helps it stand out.
| |
"Was really nervous that we would get a fourth album that essentially attempts the same sound (grungy hard rock). Granted, this is still grungy hard rock "
i know there's more to that quote but lol
| |
lol got me
| |
This isn't as different or as surprising as the band was making it sound. I was thinking it would be some kind of Everything in Its Right Place type of thing but it really just sounds like Thrice with synths instead of guitars. I dig it though.
| |
lol the salt. solid song.
| |
this isnt music
| |
I assume by the ratings on this site I'm alone here but I think beggars was their peak. Mm was super boring. But then they win me back with To Be... I'm interested to hear this but not overly hopeful. I really thought after AI they were going to go full on experimental and weird. Kind of like Radiohead. But not really.
| |
I cannot bring myself to give a shit about this band anymore and that's sad
| |
god its good
| |
It's just Thrice being Thrice again. It's fine but doesn't stand out in any way.
| |
The salt lol
| |
Pretty solid song
| |
Hating on thrice is the new sputnik 2018 thing I guess.
| |
It's a good song tho.
| |
Yeah, great song. It definitely feels a bit more experimental compared to most of TBEITBN. Dustin’s vocals are stunning as per usual.
| |
"Hating on thrice is the new sputnik 2018 thing I guess."
I thought it was hating on the new Foxing but ok
| |
Yea it's really good. Hope there's more dimensions to the album like this.
| |
Thrice and Converge should both retire
| |
better than all of the last two albums swag
| |
this shit bangs
| |
Way better than any of the singles they've had for the last few albums aside from Hurricane.
| |
Really haven't enjoyed anything this band has done since Beggars, but this one is at least interesting captured my attention a bit.
| |
fucking banger
| |
You can pretty much plug this on top of “Call it in the Air” and it fits.
| |
Okay song.
| |
IM GIVING YOU A NIGHT. CALL. TO TELL YOU. HOW I FEEL.
| |
I feel like Thrice is in that pesky stage in their career where theyve basically tried any sound they can think of
| |
The more I listen to this song, the more it feels like a Dustin solo track.
| |
when did dustin start being really bad at writing lyrics... song is good? but not interested in hearing more for some reason / i think it comes down to the lyrics
| |
TBEITBN is my second favorite album from this band. They were at their best from Alchemy onward, so I'm excited for the new album
