Sparta Return to "Cat Scream" 2018-04-11 by PostMesmeric | 9 Comments | After a bowing out of the At the Drive-in reunion and some considerable silence, Jim Ward has initiated the revival of his band Sparta.
To coincide with the announcement of a summer tour with the new lineup, Sparta released a brand-new track "Cat Scream."
Sparta's previous track "Graveyard Luck", their first new track in five years, was released in 2017. Sparta's last full-length record, Threes, was released in 2006.
Jim Ward was originally going to participate in the reunion of his band, post-hardcore veterans At the Drive-In, but left the band right before the tour began.

nice to see glimpses of them doing stuff but to be frank it's hard to get excited by anything other than new album announcement
| | | Wonder how the latest ATDI would’ve sounded if he’d stuck with them
| | | New record would be cool. Threes was awesome.
| | | I'm actually really stoked on this. I hope an album follows.
| | | pretty good track, hopefully they do a new album like everyone else is saying. too bad he wasn't a part of the ATDI reunion, the album was good but i was slightly let down

| | | Just noticed that Threes has a 3.1 rating here. Why? Just why?
| | | Cause Threes is crap compared to the first two.
Also yeah, where's the damn album announcement Jim, it's been over 10 years already goddammit
| | | Threes is good, foh. This song was a fucking tease.
