Boris has an album called "New Album" and nobody makes fun of them for it. Probably because Boris are a lot better than 30stm.

It's got something to do with the approach to music. An experimental band that plays around with the general understanding of music in itself giving their album what you could call a "non-name" feels very right and consistent because it's just another way of defying expectations. A damn radio pop band (which is sadly what 30STM have become) doing the same just comes across as either overly pretentious or lazy.
