New Paradise Lost Lyric Video

2018-02-17 by manosg STAFF | 6 Comments
Paradise Lost have released a lyric video for their 1999 song "So Much Is Lost". The track is the opener of their 1999 album Host which will be reissued on March 16 via Nuclear Blast Records.

Jaime Gomez Arellano, who remastered the album states:
"Host is a fantastic album with a stellar production. When I had the opportunity to remaster it, I focused on warming it up through analogue tape and giving it more of that analogue 'vibe' since a lot of records from that period were a bit thin sounding in comparison to today‘s standards. The remaster resulted in more depth and bass frequencies and generally a warmer and fuller sound. I hope the fans enjoy it!"

Paradise Lost singer Nick Holmes adds:
"It was interesting to revisit this stage of the band's history. It's certainly not metal thrashing mad, but I've always regarded some of our strongest material was written around this period, and I still regard "So Much Is Lost" as a really strong song."

Just heard this from an old iPhone and indeed, sound is richer.

Looks like new life has been breathed to the album.

Imho, band’s future ventures should revisit Host, One Second, Symbol of Life and the Tragic Illusion 25 compilation.

Symbol of Life sounds fantastic, though; it's their most dynamic production since Draconian Times.
However, they will revisit Believe in Nothing and there's a lot of potential there.

I'm not familiar with the album but I don't hear much difference, then again it might be YouTube.

They aren't really going to sell it with that new wimpy green-ish take on the artwork though, are they? : (

That's exactly what they're doing.
