Either you havn't listened to BTF that much or your taste for screaming is even weirder- Jared was probably one of the best screamers particularly in the 2000's. Mad talented.

It's a shame about the rest of the song- all the musicians have so much potential yet they've watered it down to this- understandable if they want to make the dough.

The sound is refined and fluid yet lacking that little extra. Still can't wait to hear the album though

Sorry, but they were never great musicians, they are passable. They can play their instruments and write a song but that's it.
They are hiding no hidden talent, they are just treading water.

Now, if you want to talk about a band with talent that was never acted upon, look at The Word Alive. Deceiver had some interesting flourishes and decent songwriting, everything since then has been pretty bad.
BTF has always played it so safe and always will.
