Please don't be a cover of The Mamas & the Papas Please don't be a cover of The Mamas & the Papas Please don't be a cover of The Mamas & the Papas Please don't be a cover of The Mamas & the Papas Please don't be a cover of The Mamas & the Papas

they're still a thing?
| |
these guys are a joke. but no one is laughing
| |
This is awful. That chorus has no flow at all and just sounds awkward
| |
So.. they've been going as a band for almost a decade now while releasing nothing but utter crap. Way to spend 10 years of your life.
| |
Thank god is not a cover of the papas and the mamas, but this is awful. This is like a really crappy clone of papa roach during infest era
| |
Without masks heh. Poor kids. Why they try to play more hard when whole chorus is so cheesy. Never been a fan or enemy just like few songs. I only wonder WHY AND FOR WHAT ?!?!?!?!?!

Band has always been the bastard child between 2 awful bands like limp bizkit and FOB, and that bastard child at first tried to mimic in a really lazy way the aesthetic of slipknot
There are a lot of good rap and rock fussions: Rage Against the machine, Biohazard, 311, Body count, old linkin park, nonpoint, downset and more. This makes that limp bizkit looks like led zeppelin
| |
lol u list those dogshit projects and omit the beastie boys gj my dude
| |
But beastie has more a hip hop vibe, sure they started as a hardcore band and Licensed to ill had a really strong rock element but that rock element with each release was forgotten, the same happens with cypress hill.
| |
This seriously isn't that bad honestly. Feel like if this was just some random band nobody has heard of before the narrative would be "Hmm this is alright I guess". This is probably the least offensive thing they've ever put out.
| |
lol these comments...I know its the cool thing on this site to hate bands like this but I enjoy some "shit" music so whatever. If you like it, you like it, so what? Honestly, this is leagues ahead of anything Limp Bizkit so much as though of. Doesn't really see how you can say the chorus has no flow either, its a straight pop hook with more than enough "hook" to it. This band is better suited for these more rock/nu-metal infused tracks rather than the attempted crossover club bangers. Here's hoping the rest of the record has this more mature sound, considering all the "party" tracks on the last couple records sound totally forced to please old fans. I'm not gonna try to convince anybody here that this band is a group of musical geniuses because even I don't believe that they are, but the music is certainly better than yinz make it out to be. Its enjoyable, mindless, fun music.
| |
But why
| |
Honestly came in here expecting Snide to have written this article
| |
A fifth album titled V? Getting artsy there.
| |
whoa there r some real "We Are" vibes on this bad bitch
| |
Honestly, this is leagues ahead of anything Limp Bizkit so much as though of.
limp owns them dude come at me i will fuck u up also check out my podcast (link and patreon in bio)
| |
cad let's start a rap-rock podcast like fr
| |
im in lets rock
| |
I hate Bizkit too but I'd rather take their dumb masculine bravado and downtuned riffs over this nonsense any day of the week.
| |
I actually enjoyed that more than I thought I would, their first two records were pretty sweet.
| |
please stop putting kid choirs in your song they do not make it sound more epic there is no thematic purpose to them
*insert clap emojis*
| |
This is alright, I liked Swan Songs but these guys got boring really quick
| |
I'm curious how the album will turn out considering i listened to this band briefly awhile back. But low expectations
| |
oh this is, unfortunate
| |
I prefer Limp Bizkit over HU. Do any of the members of HU play instruments?
| |
Oh man finally!!
| |
did you get a google alert too?
| |
I gotta say it makes me pretty fucking happy that the most useless member (Da Kurlzz) learned how to play the drums. What a champ haha
| |
most drummers are pretty useless as human beings tbh
| |
Harsh but fair
| |
phew thank god i was getting kinda worried that they weren't gonna make another
| |
Nah Zippa, Da Kurlzz is out of the band. That dude drumming is their touring guy.
And Sleepys, ya man Charlie Scene, Danny and J-Dog all play guitar. J-Dog plays bass too, I'm pretty sure he is in this video while Charlie is playing the guitar.
This is a pretty solid song fam. Yea they aren't reinventing the wheel but this is probably the best shit they've put out in a minute (though the lead single off the last record is one of the best tracks they've ever done).
| |
This is surprisingly decent. As long as they don't make cringy party tracks; they're not completely terrible and from what I gather they all play instruments.
| |
This is awful [2]
And John Otto & Sam Rivers save Limp Bizkit from the douchery that Durst gives them, not even close to as bad as HU
| |
I was obsessed with this band back when I was like 13/14. I still think when they drop macho party jams and write actual serious songs, they can do it well enough. This was actually decent. It's very early 2000s rap-rock, but I think it's done reasonably well all things considered.
| |
DCtarga John Otto, Sam Rivers, and Wes Borland
| |
it astounds me how generic this is, I still think these guys have some potential, they just don't appear to know how to use it
| |
Shit like this almost made me vote for Hillary
| |
you had to take it there, didn't you?
| |
Tbh this is just average and boring, on level with latest Papa Roach(which doesnt say much but well)
| |
well this provided a good laugh at how pathetic this was
| |
@TheSleepys
You're right, totally overlooked him. Realized that slightly after I posted the comment, oops lol
| |
directed by Brian Cox? what?
