You took the most screwed up comments and put them up there lol
Read the interview and actually felt bad for them
| |
Haha, sorry. Wanted to sum it all up. Feel bad for the guys too, new sound is dope.
| |
Good for them.
| |
The way Chad feels about the core scene seems pretty genuine in this interview. That or I just really agree with his opinions.
I don't blame them for wanting to change their sound considering it wasn't something they all enjoyed playing though.
| |
Very interesting read. I can totally relate to what the interviewer mentioned about their previous releases. The new songs sound really great though, definitely looking forward to the record.
| |
really didn't like their previous material at all. checked out the new stuff after hearing about this change of direction and I'm very pleasantly surprised. might actually buy the new album once it drops.
| |
I dug some of their old shit, and I dig Chad's screams, but this new sound has been a great change.
| |
never heard these dues before but this is dope
| |
that was an awesome interview, he was so open and honest about everything
| |
I'm gonna miss his screams, but if this is what they want to do then go ahead because I also dig the new sound
| |
shit band
| |
not anymore
| |
only just recently actually
| |
sounds plausible
| |
"Truth be told, none of us really liked the music we were playing."
I finally understand why I never liked this band, they hated their own music, that's why it sounded so fake.
| |
Always thought these guys were on the bottom tier of melodic hardcore. This is great though, excited to hear the rest of the album.
| |
Too bad they didn't consider the shitty genre tagging system of Sputnikmusic, so all of their albums will forever be tagged as metalcore.
| |
I had just assumed the reason was "well everyone else is going shoegaze so why not us". I guess I'm glad there's more to it then that.
| |
LOL bullshit they didnt like their music. I'd rather them just come out and say that they're latching onto whats popular than lie about why
| |
I really dig their take on shoegaze, it has a lot more drive to it than most.
| |
glad Betray's here to tell us what the band really thinks
| |
shut up bitch
| |
lmao
| |
Were they making that much money as hardcore hundredth?
I mean really
| |
it sounds good, it worked for title fight, they're way better as a shoegaze band. just hope hundredth didn't drop their generic sound just to go to another generic sound.
| |
Really humble dudes. Cool that they don't want to play music for money, but for themselves and their fans. I respect them and their change in sound 100%. New album will rule
| |
they 100% want money
| |
chad's vocals were always the highlight of this band because the music was never that interesting
| |
"Really humble dudes. Cool that they don't want to play music for money, but for themselves and their fans. I respect them and their change in sound 100%. New album will rule"
lmao

| |
What
| |
it means laughing my ass off
| |
I know betray. Just wondering why spec thought it was funny
| |
@jayender they're clearly just hopping on the shoegaze bandwagon and are gonna make MILLIONS off this stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
| |
God damn you guys are cynical, classic Sputnik. It is possible that they changed their style simply because that's what they wanted to do. Doesn't absolutely have to be a money grab tactic.
| |
Like anyone is making bank as a shoegaze band anyway lol
| |
