Hmmmm, needs more angry Zach
| |
I think it's decent. A bit of a grower, but decent.
| |
dude still has some fire in him. Better than the new Prophets of Rage, but kinda boring on first listen.
| |
Can't wait to listen to this.
This has to be better then PoR right? RIGHT?
| |
It can't be worse, of course
| |
A lot of people have felt that it didn't really do much on first listen but got better on repeats
| |
i can already see a shitload of remixes for this
| |
solid stuff tho
| |
I dig more than anything on the last one
| |
Actually pretty cool. Can someone remind me what Prophets of
Rage is again?
| |
It's nice and I think live it's going to sound awesome. Needs more real instruments, but oc I didn't expect the new RATM. Song kills, bring the rest.
| |
Cool beat, not a fan of anything else though
| |
Good song, hope they follow through with their promise of the full length.
| |
Maybe it'll be that album he's been working on for fuck knows how long with songs produced by El-P, Trent Reznor etc.
| |
Ι'd love to listen a ZDlR album produced by ELP!
| |
Track's really great. How cool would it be if his solo album, and RTJ3 dropped around the same time?
| |
Id rather RTJ3 didn't drop at all honestly.
| |
This beat is pretty shitty and boring. I expect way better out of El-P.
| |
'Id rather RTJ3 didn't drop at all honestly.'
K. They've only put out quality albums so far (just forget about Meow the Jewels.)
| |
He's still got it unfortunately the beat is terrible.
| |
i was just thinking the other day zach produced by EL-p would be dope and here it is!
| |
beat could do with a remix but those vocals kick ass
| |
The remixes are gonna be awesome [32423423]
Vocals are cool but the instrumentals are a big pile of meh
| |
Zack needs the riffs as much as Tom's riffs need Zack.
| |
Nah zack can do just fine without tom, it's tom who is complete shite without him.
| |
Nahhh, I saw PoR and he was pretty in his element the whole show
| |
To be fair i wasn't necessarily referring to his performance, more that the stuff he's been involved with post rage is pretty passable.
| |
but wheres the riffs?
| |
It's okay I guess
| |
"but wheres the riffs?" Dude, where are the instruments? At least the One Day As A Lion EP had drums and a synth.
| |
Second part of the song was pretty cool and, better than anything off the Prophets of rage ep.
| |
this is pretty dece
| |
I thought the beat was complete garbage at first but now I think it kind of builds nicely into the second half of the song. Zack sounds great as always though
| |
Not bad. Better than Morello's new track with Knife Party and anything from Prophets of Rage anyway.
| |
it's not like rage would have a dearth of lyrical topics to go over if they recorded new material
| |
lol very true
| |
i would really love to hear/see that
one the bands i've listened to since the very beginning (plus they're one of the few bands that probably can get a crowd going batshit in the land of cellphones)
| |
I like this. I think live reverb drenched drums could have added so much to this though.
| |
I wasn't feeling it for the first thirty seconds or so, but it built up well. Can't wait for the whole album to drop.
| |
"it's not like rage would have a dearth of lyrical topics to go over if they recorded new material"
Lol true
Tbh I am guaranteed to love this, I've missed hearing what Zack's been up to these days
| |
Not bad.
| |
Better than Prophets of Rage for sure, like how the track builds up, hope a full album is on the horizon
| |
too much like travis barker and yelawolf
| |
I thought it was pretty okay.
| |
Pretty fucking Fire
Beats PoR out of the water tbqh
| |
They've all been doing their own things and they've generally been OK I guess but RATM proves that the band as a whole, when together, exceeds the sum of its parts. Tim's been doing Wakrat and that's been kinda mixed, Tom's solo stuff and collabs have been meh, Brad's session work has been good on the whole and Zack's solo stuff seems to be OK but not as good as RATM. Prophets of Rage also shows that an incomplete group isn't enough.
| |
This is the best Rage related side project I've heard so far. I'm including Audioslave in that of course.
| |
Ugh, Audioslave. Liiiiiiiiike a Stoooooooonnnnne. Jammed Evil Empire last night. What an album.
| |
Kind of bland, but not bad per se.
| |
Pretty cool but this beat straddles the thin line between "minimal" and "boring."
| |
Interesting.
| |
This is a shite sight better than that Prophets of Rage garbage.
| |
I expect more from EL-P. Zack kills it on here.
| |
el-p beat snaps
| |
