Link doesn't work on my end.
Red won't tell you this but I think they realized they're better off with Rob Graves.
| |
Well they sure will be if they don't redeem themselves with this one.
| |
Again: Add the colon in the link, as it has problems in displaying the correct url.
| |
honestly that sounded like a return to form, and the cover is cool too. I don't know if i can get into them like I used to, but hopefully this will be better than the last.
| |
Man, that just sounded so bland.
| |
lol that album title
| |
AOTY 2015 confirmed guys! This is gonna be gold!
/sarcasm
| |
I've tried to fix the link and it just keeps breaking it. I never took out the colon; it just removes it for some reason when you click on it. And now that I've fucked with it, there's no longer even a hyperlink there. Sorry, guys.
About the song, though, I like the melody, but it definitely sounds overproduced.
| |
Never mind. I found a YouTube link to fix the post.
| |
But will there be string sections!?!
| |
Band sucks. Rip sputnikmusic
| |
Clip was solid. They earlier albums are okay so will check out. i think the last one was quite bad not even sure if i lsitened to all o fit
| |
Lol at some of the overreactions, it's a 1 minute clip you fucking retards.
It sounded decent tho I'll wait for the entire song.
| |
Band is meh, has always been meh
| |
I actually really liked the last one, so realistically what is the chance of me being disappointed?
| |
Thought this was okay. Never been massive on the band though.
| |
sounds way better than their past two albums
| |
That riff in't just straight eigth-note half steps played in drop B! Evolving sound! :D
| |
Needs better riffs but sounds so much better then RTP, guess it will be a end of silence revival
| |
Sounds like they've always effing sounded. You guys crack me up.
| |
Sounds like old-school Linkin Park played with Chevelle's Drop-B tuning. I will hold out my opinion until the final album comes out. Not getting my hopes up though.
| |
I will say, though, that I really like that cover. The last two covers were total shit. Also, I'm hoping that the extra media they're supposedly releasing with this album isn't half-assed like all that dystopian stuff they were trying to do with Feed the Machine and Release the Panic.
| |
I got Chevelle vibes
| |
^ Just the screams. Sounds more like Egypt Central.
| |
Also, those plague doctor masks are ALL the rage, right now, I notice.
| |
artwork is kinda dumb too
| |
"hard rock nu-metal alternative rock"
eww i guess i won't be checking this
| |
"The last two covers were total shit."
I actually liked the one for Until We Have Faces. I thought that was pretty decent and something I surprisingly hadn't seen before with the whole optical illusion of the face coming out of the cover.
| |
Agreed, it was simple but pretty cool.
| |
As if "Innocence & Instinct" (may have gotten that title wrong) had incredible artwork....
| |
I love that album cover, especially the special edition
| |
Yeah agreed the black deluxe cover was better than the original white one for I&I
| |
I think the reason why the deluxe cover looks better is that the inverted colors make it easier to make out what exactly is happening on the cover.
As for Until We Had Faces, I just found it to be unimaginative. I mean, faces pressed up against fabric isn't exactly a new concept. Godsmack did it with their album Faceless (coincidental album title?), and I'm sure they weren't even the first.
| |
*Treeman releases dick teaser*
| |
Release the Panic, in my opinion, was just as lazy as its music. It's just a guy with an obscured face and some broken glass. And for a band named "Red", it's odd that the cover doesn't have a single speck of the color.
| |
Treeman teases his treenis?
| |
*his trunk
| |
^ Just the screams. Sounds more like Egypt Central.
Can totally hear that too.
| |
Okay, for God's sake, I'm 99.9% sure they used public domain art for Innocence and Instinct.
| |
It's an illustration from Doré's "Paradise Lost". I don't see how that changes whether it's a nice album cover or not. I don't think anyone here is claiming that someone close to Red actually drew it themselves.
| |
I actually like the fact that it's some sort of catholic illustration used as album cover! This cover (to me) is awesome as well, It's dark and a bit midieval and I love the red leafs
| |
I still like RTP more than UWHF
| |
I'm just saying, it's like the elephant in the room, it's not exactly the poster child for effort, either.
| |
Perhaps not artistic effort, yes, but it still could have taken considerable effort to research artwork before finding a piece of existing art that appropriately fits the central theme of the album. None of Red's other albums really show that sort of effort.
| |
first album was great, 2nd was good, 3rd was kind of bad, didn't bother listening to the last one and from the looks of the ratings it's good that I didn't.
I don't write music - is it really that difficult to maintain a decent level and avoid a downward spiral of shittiness?
| |
They aren't really good musicians so I guess it can be pretty hard for them
| |
