I don't know. I'm impressed. But I still miss the good cop bad cop aspect to AILD.

I like Shane, but a whole song with him isn't my cup of tea (just like with Shayley from OM&M), but the music was alright.

This would be sick if I still liked Avenged Sevenfold.

Really glad this isn't just AILD pt 2, though I wish the song was a little longer and not so predictably structured.

You're cray cray, this band doesn't have a vacuum cleaner for a vocalist

very underwhelming, the guitar work is pretty fun, but the vocals really take away from the instrumentals.

ok ... but why AILD clean vocalist is not doing the vocals . I can't hear much differences between him to Oh ,Sleeper 's vocalist ... ?

I mean the whole production is sounding awful i hope this isn't close to the final product.

Musically, this is pretty much what As I Lay Dying were doing on Awakened. Though it isn't bad at all, I do miss the dynamics of the harsh/clean contrast, especially since the instrumental sound is so similar to what they did on their last few records.

I was just so happy to hear that it wasn't totally radio-friendly. I mean it kinda is but at least it brings some heavy as far as instruments go. I do agree the production isn't what it could be and I also think it could really use some screaming. It wouldn't even need full sections of screams, just like screams to finish out lines and final notes of choruses etc. And I definitely think Josh should contribute to some vocals. Think it would give it a nice blend of sound. His vocals sounded good on the few clips they showed a couple weeks back.

@Jake I'm pretty sure Josh had a few lines in this. There were a few short spots that sounded exactly like his voice, although they sounded more like backing vocals. And that's what I was meaning, more or less, regarding the vocals. I don't want the "screamed verse/clean chorus" kinda bullshit. Just that occasional harsher edge does wonders to make a track more dynamic.

I miss Tim's vox; too bad he had to go and do something so shitty.
