will this band ever do something not contrived?

is ripper owens still their singer?

Album art is cool but I'm fairly certain this won't be very good. "The Crucible of Man" was laughably bad.
|
| |
Other than the "Iced Earth" the album cover looks death as hell

Uh, there was an album after that buddy. And it was a pretty solid one, at that.

| |
That is some badass artwork. The last album they put out was Dystopia and I thought it was pretty damn solid. Their current singer who sang on the Dystopia album is Stu Block, formerly of Into Eternity.
|
| |
Love the album art...probably the best they've had since Horror Show.
|
| |
Who edited this? Why'd you fuck up the capitalisation?
|
| |
Not a big fan of the album art unless it has death/gore influences. Something Wicked was the last album of theirs I really enjoyed...

Still don't expect this to be very good. Probably on-par with the new Sepultura.

Dystopia was a return to form, so really looking forward to this. Artwork is awesome, whether it fits the music is yet to be seen.
|
| |
Dystopia was a decent album and I can't see how they will write something worthy. But I will check nonetheless.

These guys are hilarious.
|
| |
will Ire ever post a comment that isn't so contrived????
|
| |
Will be happy enough if the album is solid, always enjoy some Iced Earth from time to time but Schaffer's songwriting ability is unfortunately very limited, has always been the band's greatest weakness.
|
| |
Well that's a bit odd, I always thought of Schaffer as a solid songwriter.
|
| |
He is, but he has been recycling the same handful of general approaches over and over.
|
| |
ty i thought we wur cool
|
| |
ok
|
| |
Dystopia was ok but not at the same level of the old albums like burnt offerings and something wicked. Band hasn't been the same sadly, that a shame cuz they used to rule.
|
| |
Sweet, even in their lowest, Iced Earth are a solid band.
