fiction vs. fantasy
one fact remains unclear
how you pretend both franchises
stand solely on one tier?!
obviously asoiaf is the winner here
Can't believe this is what the song is actually about
this song keeps growing on me, god i love these idiots.
Digging: Cosmic Church - Ylistys
i really like the song, surprisingly.
although i don't like the whole tongue-in-cheek music video. herherher Rody Warker loves star trek we get it dude.
cant you just film a video of you guys playing with your gear with maybe some sort of comical tie-in? that's what I want to see. you guys playing. your music.
why don't you just go see them then or watch a live video or somethin
I'd rather see this than them just noodling about with their instruments. That's what performing live is for. Music videos are an opportunity for the audience to see what goes through the artist's head. With this, they're undoubtedly going to attract an audience that appreciates Star Wars. Someone will approach a Star Wars fan that is their friend, show them the video, and lo and behold, the band has gained a fan. Music videos are just that: An attempt to gain new fans. A simple performance video may not do that as much as a comedic or story-driven one.
Maybe I'm going out on a limb here but I assumed that since the lyrics appear to be about nuclear warfare, they're comparing the pettiness of nations fighting to nerds fighting about their favorite franchises. I could be utterly incorrect but that was definitely what I thought it was supposed to mean.
song kicks ass, video kicks ass.
and keep in mind this is a lyric video. they could still release an official video of them playing live, so stop bitching about nothing.
It's funny cuz this is just a lyric video. A LYRIC VIDEO.
A LYRIC VIDEO.
some major continuity flaws in this video but hey, PtH are having fun weeoow!
I guess I just really don't like lyric videos.
but whatever music is good that's all that matters.
This is actually humorous, that's a plus.
Digging: Beastmilk - Climax
Best Lyric video Ive watched in a while. I really dig the song
Video was simple and funny at times.
"cant you just film a video of you guys playing with your gear with maybe some sort of comical tie-in? that's what I want to see. you guys playing. your music."
This is the kind of video I'd never want to see from Protest.
i wanna see a music video of them as like paint.net stick figures playing stick instruments
They play instruments in the video for "Hair Trigger." That's probably the best you'll get:
and bloodmeat, or heretics and killers, or blindfolds aside
Blindfolds aside's music video is amazing. Their performance is amazing for a stupid little video. So
or Sequoia Throne, or C'est La Vie. I was kidding.
oh well i wasn't even trying to insult you haha
band releases the BEST music videos. anyone who doesn't enjoy them is boring and no fun.
Terrible music video. LARPing has become the "mom jokes"(low hanging fruit) of nerd culture. It's the equivalent of someone saying "That's what she said!" every couple minutes.
Good song though =)
boring and no fun ^
I can't help it. I usually love Protest vids.
Finally watching this now, and you guys. it is obvious these guys want to make an interesting lyric video (because
that is what this video is, let's not forget,) and we're still ragging on it? I get that it isn't everyone's brand of
humor, but I guess I can't help but admire them for at least trying this. idk man
its the internet. there'll always be way more hate than whats really warranted. nothing new here
Am I not allowed to dislike things anymore?
I'm just too dear of a fan, NonApplicable-- disregard my tangents =]
Well, *somebody* has to say it: ST>>SW.
They both sink to some pretty damn low points in their franchises, but at least ST actually has something to say at its highs.
Omaha you 3'd Fortress! How could you?
