The Dead Weather in studio

2013-08-30 by iGuter | 7 Comments
Jack White, The Kills' Alison Mosshart, Queens of the Stone Age's Dean Fertita and the Raconteurs' Jack Lawrence are reportedly back in the studio to create their third album as supergroup The Dead Weather. A photo was released on Third Man Group's Twitter account with the group saying: "The Dead Weather working on new songs in the studio yesterday... (and searching for bodies)."

In an interview with Rolling Stone Jack White explained that the 4 members all reside in Nashville but did not mention a new album: "Our things pick their place for us. We don't really sit down and pick them. They pick our place for us," he said. "Like, the Kills make a record or Queens of the Stone Age makes a record, I make a record, and it all falls into place, you know?"

This will be their third album since 2010's Sea Of Cowards.

Thank fucking god. Been waiting forever to hear this news.

Also...that last sentence is a bit misleading. They haven't made three albums since Sea of Cowards, you mean this will be their third album FOLLOWING 2010's Sea of Cowards.

Pretty good news but honestly I wish it was a Raconteurs reunion instead.

I'm expecting this to still be a solid effort though.
