Interesting...
Seeing them in 2 weeks. Hopefully they play a new track or two!

| |
Cool!
|
| |
Sveeet
|
| |
No way it's another full length. Just, no way.
|
| |
Yay
|
| |
That's a fairly compilationy type name
|
| |
Vital was released October 16, 2012. Coincidence? Literally one whole year for a new album? I think this could be a b-side or compilation album. Like Lost Songs.
|
| |
swee
|
| |
Knowing Anberlin, it's going to be pretty awesome.
|
| |
Seems like these guys release an album every 6 months
|
| |
This probably isn't a new album though...
|
| |
new surrender only took a year right? and that album was excellent.
|
| |
True, I hope it's a new album...I just don't think it's likely.
|
| |
same, but i think perhaps they might be riding on a bit of a high after vital was what seemed to be a creative renaissance for them; so that could be a catalyst for artistic productivity. it seemed to work that way for them after cities. but that's all just speculation.
|
| |
they posted this on facebook. are these new songs? or ones from albums i don't have?
http://instagram.com/p/dHwM_NQeQA/
|
| |
no way they're putting out a full-length a year later...
but minty those songs are definitely new. I have all of Anberlin's albums (and most of the b-sides from those albums) and I've never heard that.
|
| |
I just don't want them to rush things out. Cities was magnificent, but New Surrender was extremely mediocre, and that came out about a year after Cities.
|
| |
new surrender was better than cities. retrace, breath, feel good drag, the resistance and breaking?
although the closer on new surrender was really shit. bit of a fucker after fin set ridiculous standards.
|
| |
anyway those new tracks sound really good. more of a new surrender vibe than a vital one which i like.
|
| |
oh shit the third clip on that video sounds like one thing by one direction
|
| |
Interesting... new anberlin music is always welcome to my library
|
| |
Yeah this is probably going to be a b-sides album. They've been touring Vital and had their acoustic tour---not enough time to make a batch of new songs.
Anberlin b-sides are usually awesome though so I'm excited
|
| |
Should be good whatever it is.
|
| |
Miserabile Visu is shit? is that a joke?
|
| |
Miserabile Visu is shit? is that a joke? [2]
I'm excited for whatever this is. Anything this band puts out blows me away.
|
| |
I'd be a bit scared if it were an album since they definitely wouldn't have had enough time to write another excellent album yet.
hopefully it'll be just b-sides or an ep
|
| |
i'm pretty sure it's an lp considering it's $16.30 or so on amazon, i'm going to guess it's a collection of b-sides since lost songs
|
| |
pretty much, 'cept fin is indeed better than miserabile visu (which still rules)
|
| |
Fin is like best song ever fuck you guys.
|
| |
all of Anberlin's closers are amongst their best songs except for Depraved
|
| |
I actually enjoyed Depraved, but all their other closers definitely blow it away. Hopefully this turns out to be good - cause a one year to write a new album? ehhh
|
| |
Oh right nobody on sputnik hates New Surrender and Dark is the Way as much as I do
|
| |
Not getting my hopes up for a new full length, the odds are low. Even a b-sides collection would rock.
|
| |
Feel Good Drag was the best thing on New Surrender and it was just a remastered song from Never Take Friendship Personal.
|
| |
I went to an acoustic set of theirs about a month ago in Las Vegas. Christian doesn't sound as smart when he's talking as he does when he's singing.
|
| |
I'm like, so omg right now
|
| |
"I went to an acoustic set of theirs about a month ago in Las Vegas. Christian doesn't sound as smart when he's talking as he does when he's singing."
don't say that, I imagine Stephen as an incredibly smart person.
|
| |
arent they christian though?
|
| |
hi stormy ♥. and also i'm sure stephen's southern accent is what makes him sound unintelligent.
i've read a lot of interviews online and blog posts he's made and they all point to him being a smart
and thoughtful dude
|
| |
they posted some snippets of what seems to be real new songs on instagram (spoiler : they sound guuuuuuud)
|
| |
already linked that above
|
| |
No way it's a new album; regardless I'll like whatever the fuck it is.
|
| |
"arent they christian though?"
smart Christians do exist
|
| |
in an interview they were talking about how well recieved vital was and that they already started working on the follow up
|
| |
It definitely wasn't his accent and despite currently living in Tennessee, he grew up in Michigan, so his accent isn't really Southern.
I'm sure he is a really intelligent person, but he just sounds odd when he's talking to audience members.
|
| |
is he really not southern
i thought that explained "conversate" and "never take friendship personal"
hmm
|
| |
there is absolutely no possible valid explanation for 'conversate'
|
| |
lol for the south that's probably good english ...
|
| |
:]
|
| |
band should conversate about quittin
|
| |
wow what a great joke
|
| |
Hi friends. Anberlin posted about this on the ol' fbook. Here's what they said:
"Hey guys - we're super pumped to finally be able to talk about our new release. We've been working on this for a very long time now, but on Oct. 15, we will release a collection we're calling “Devotion: Vital Special Edition”. Over the coming days and weeks, we'll be revealing different looks from this album, but in total this will have over 40 tracks!!
Live & Acoustic DVD from our show in Brooklyn NY, an entire album of remixes done by various artists, all the Vital b-sides in one place, AND 3 BRAND NEW SONGS. We cant wait to get all this music to you guys. More to come on this... stay tuned."
