George Duke dead at 67 2013-08-06 by praise jimmy EMERITUS | 18 Comments | It has been reported veteran jazz, R&B, funk and fusion keyboard virtuoso George Duke has passed away at the age of 67. This news comes after a difficult period for the acclaimed keyboardist and composer whose wife Corine passed away just over a year ago. This news comes not long after he had just launched his latest album, Dreamweaver.
Duke was most known by his long-standing partnership with violinist Jean-Luc Ponty, and his work with Frank Zappa and The Mothers of Invention from 1969 to 1975.
