Tim Lambesis Breaks Silence

2013-07-10 by andcas | 66 Comments
Tim Lambesis, vocalist for metalcore outfit As I Lay Dying, recently took to his tumblr page to release a handful of long-winded and bizarre posts. It marks the first time Lambesis has spoken out publicly since being accused of allegedly hiring a hitman to kill his estranged wife. The pseudo-intellectual ramblings sent while on house arrest were quickly taken down, and probably due to advice from his lawyer.

Unfortunately, he has not asked his overzealous fans to stop harassing his ex-wife, which has been going on even more frequently since his official release on bail. Tim Lambesis is due back in court September 16, 2013, which will be for a preliminary hearing.

You can read the saved posts in the link below:

"that post pretty much gives away that he's guilty"

no matter what his sentencing is, that statement alone is pretty much what is wrong with the internet today. We think we have all of the information because of "official" comments made in passing, when the trial hasn't even started yet haha.

I'm not advocating for either way, but I can totally see the massive frustration that everybody involved has with how everything is blown up before the trial even began. That being said, this happens all of the time. Still shitty though.

I was doubting this whole affair before but his posts have definitely sold me on the fact that he's guilty.

it's a pity because he seemed like a great guy and to think that these actions could arise from a guy who previously wrote meaningful and powerful lyrics is saddening to say the least

what bothers me most about this whole situation, even more so than the possibility that he actually tried to have his wife killed, is the people that keep defending him with phrases in the vein of "he made a mistake!" that boggles my mind.

@Jordan Karausky a friend of mine who is a big proponent of all the New Testament letters also brought up the example of Paul. Paul wrote most of the New Testament and was also responsible for killing many Christians (of whom the first ever martyr was one of them). I'm not relating this to me at all. Just relating this to your comment. But, it's interesting how the greatest king in the Old Testament, a man after God's own heart) and the man responsible for the longest book in the Bible was murderer as well as the man who wrote the vast majority of the New Testament.

I really hope my last comment doesn't get taken out of context. It's just an interesting religious history fact. That is all.

dude i agree that we don't know the situation nor all of the evidence but come on. he said this to someone in a comment on fb when he put up his blogpost. sounds awfully like he's trying to say "not saying that i tried to murder her but if i did, jacob was a murderer and he still wrote the new testament"

Yeah, the mindless support just because they dug his music is ridiculous. I was inspired by him growing up as a lyricist, and it just bums me out to see this whole situation unfold.

I read that too loveisamixtape. From that context it just seems like he's making a reference to all of his Christian fans who are extremely pissed at him (and rightfully so) when, according to their own beliefs, two of the most influential people in scripture were "sinners" as well.

But yeah, comments like that is what totally probably made his lawyer suggest taking most of his posts down.

so you don't think him telling his fans that they shouldn't take the act of murder so harshly because "two of the most
influential people in the bible did it" doesn't prove that there is something seriously wrong with him? especially with his
situation? lol

all i'm saying is if he's somehow innocent, the dude is really fucking bad at laying low.

“Those reporting from the courtroom will only pass along select facts and the case itself will only require select facts that do not encompass the entirety events. On the other hand, the seemingly larger percentage of people delight in voicing their opinion even though I personally have never said a word about even a single detail related to my case.

Love this bit, yeah time we get it we don't know the full story. However dude hiring someone to kill your ex wife still aint legal

They were adopted kids from like Ethiopia I think, they were already given a much better life in the first place. Jeez, just let her have em or share custody. That's pretty much all this was about in the first place from what I know, or jealousy and anger he has towards Megan cuz he can't fuck her anymore. I don't wanna judge Tim but I really think this case is alot more simple than he wants people to believe. And yeah I read the original metalsucks post.
