Gorguts' fifth studio album, Colored Sands, is due out on 8/30 in Europe and 9/3 in North America. This is their first album in a dozen years, and this time we're in for something different. The album is a concept album which centers around the Chinese invasion of Tibet.

The tracklisting is as follows:
1. Le Toit Du Monde
2. An Ocean Of Wisdom
3. Forgotten Arrows
4. Colored Sands
5. The Battle Of Chamdo
6. Enemies Of Compassion
7. Ember's Voice
8. Absconders
9. Reduced To Silence

Artwork sucks but fuck, this is going to rule, especially with Colin Marston in the band.

Colin Marston is in the band now? I hope he doesn't fuck it up with wankery. Dude is a talented musician, but I'm unsure of his song-writing capabilities.

You're clearly only listening to him collaborate with Mick Barr. Have you listened to anything else he's done?

"This is their first album in a dozen years, and this time we're in for something different. "

lol, this sounds so cheesy.

Also, a link for the pre-orders should be in the article.

Easily one of the most anticipated albums in years. The demo sounds pretty tasty so I can't wait to hear the finished album.

"Something new" and "concept" scare the crap out of me. Usually nothing good comes of it when bands throw out those words.

While it's a dangerous way to go with the concept, this has the potential to be really cool, seems ambitious and the technical skill is definitely there.

No worries, just was saying it sounded funny is all. Sell away, though Gorguts really don't need the help.
