I'm excited. Band is pretty consistent.

| |
It's gonna be great.
|
| |
Cool
|
| |
yeh the video and song were awesome
only 8 tracks are kinda few, but this will still be 8 times better than the new Cob
|
| |
lets see if this is going to get them a decent tour!
|
| |
No swamp metal?
Nevermind, how did I miss "Swamphony". Album will rule

seventh swamphony
10/10

Jeez that video is sweet and that song is amazing. This sounds like old Kalmah, and they have their old school vocals back too! Yesssss!
|
| |
time to start preheating the review oven for this one. gonna be solid.
|
| |
Self-titled song is pretty rad.
|
| |
video was awesome
|
| |
Ugh, they're really going with that name.
|
| |
I was a little apprehensive about the name at first but it's nice to see a band not being overly serious while still kicking ass.
|
| |
Yeah, at least they're having fun with it. Album will be great.
|
| |

Why does Kalmah remind me of Megadeth in their latest work. Except with swamp and harsh vocals.

maybe because Pekka kinda looks like Dave Mustain
|
| |
did anyone read my comment
i agree with them being cliche, and the band said it in a interview that they always write songs in the same way. they do incorporate new sounds into their music but just like dark tranquillity most of their songs have a formulated structure. But i think they bring a bit more variations into their songs now.

What the hell is Kalmah going to do, turn around and write a symphonic doom metal album? They are
what they are man they need to pay the bills. They are lucky they even made it this far.

i't's never about money for them, they see it more as a hobby. The Band members themselves are still employed.
|
| |
same difference.
|
| |
I actually don't want Kalmah to expand their horizons at all. I find them awesome no matter what.
|
| |
Amen, this will fucking kill.
|
| |
if it ain't broke don't fix it. the drumming in this is a step up from 12 Gauge, sounds like Kusmin actually practiced before recording this time.
|
| |
Now, how about getting someone to record this thing WELL? Kalmah is one of those bands that writes amazing music that consistently ends up severely marred by shitful recording quality. It'd be nice to have an album from them that sounds *good* through my Focals.
|
| |
Got the promo for this. I personally think it's great. There are a few dull songs in the middle but these guys can shred and they write some sick riffs. The closing track is just flat out fantastic. It's similar to what they've been doing, but if you don't mind that then you will have a lot of fun with this record.
|
| |
Awesome. So far it sounds like an amped-up version on their recent stuff. I'm hoping to land an interview with them in the next couple weeks.
