@Hyperion, nah, they stopped focusing on metal after The Congregation. Malina was more prog rock than metal, Pitfalls is an outright art-pop album, etc. I like pop Leprous, but it's not going to be for everyone.

I have been pretty on board with the art rocky weird shit leprous has been doing lately but Im going to be honest this is not looking so hot. Aphellion and Pitfalls have some great moments and tracks on them. This is kinda repetitive....

they really should have put the band name to rest and just have continued as Einar or smth since he is the only remaining og member anyways and obviously has been the driving/only creative force for a while

Leprous discourse is always funny cause literally everyone has very different fav songs / albums.
For example I am also in the camp who think their latest albums didn't reach the peaks of The Congregation and what came before, but at the same time each of the last 3 albums also have some of my favorite Leprous songs ever. Malina has Coma, Pitfalls has Below and the second half of Distant Bells, Aphelion has The Silent Revelation and the second half of Castaway Angels

This song to me is one of their worst, but I'm sure other Leprous fans will think the exact opposite :D

Dune part 2 again, now that the dust has settled a little bit I can say that its an incredible movie and genuinely don't understand the hate it gets in here, one of the best sequels ever made.

I think this is really good, I love the push and pull and the emotion spills out so well. Very balanced writing.

Very good song, and a great balance of the Leprous sound through the years.

As a huge Leprous fan, I can't tell if this is good or bad lol. The production is always top notch. The energy is there, it's got a nice heavy/dramatic sound to it. God that guitar lick is super repetitive and obnoxious, and I'm not sure about those synths. I'm just going to wait for the whole album and reserve final thoughts for that
Side note, I quite like the album art. It's unique and has mystique. They're always good at capturing a vibe with their artwork, titles, etc.

Einar sings insanely well but he just has a peculiar way of singing. If you like it or not is subjective, but there is no way you can say he sings bad lmfao

Yeah I got in at the Congregation so kind of right at the turning point and I enjoy all of it to different degrees for different reasons, Congregation is probably still my perfect balance in their sound but they've still released some of my fav tracks in their discography on the last few. Honestly tall poppy is the only one I have a hard time getting into and only because I think Einar does kind of sound like shit on that one. And yeah insanely good live band.
