Yep, that's a Kamelot song. I don't mind more of the same from them though, as long as the overall quality doesn't drop.

love it, though that's most likely the fanboy in me talking

This was good, but didn't really do much more for me other than provide an enjoyable listen.
|
| |
Pretty much as I expected. Fairly consistent with the last couple of releases. I'm glad they haven't gone down in quality during that span, although I have to admit the reason I still enjoy these as much as I do is probably because of how much I liked their earlier albums.

Similar to Haven but with more progressive elements. If this is an example of how the album is, The Shadow Theory will be a blast!
|

This is so awesome.
|

Pretty fun track. Although it doesn't really stand out to me yet.
|
| |
That was incredibly bland.

The last Kamel ot album I truly loved was Ghost Opera--and even that had its flat moments. As much as I love Tommy, neither of their last two made an impression on me at all. I'd really love for them to knock my socks off, a la The Black Halo.

I've enjoyed the two albums since Kahn's departure but this was an especially autopilot Kamelot song. Nothing of note here.
|
| |
So safe and straightforward. Adds nothing to the Haven formula, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but there's so much untapped potential with Tommy in the picture and this feels like they're leaving that potential at bay for even longer.
|
| |
On the safe side, but I certainly like it. Hopefully there'll be more variation on the whole album.

Nice guitar sound. Love how the chorus melody has that certain strangeness and dissonance added to it. Still, the song seems put together in a copy and paste way, especially bridge and solo which come out of nothing. Good song overall, but I hope it's one of the less noteworthy on the album. (Please.)

Sounds the same as any average tune on the past 3 albums. There are usually a couple highlights, but this isn't one.
|
| |
Is that Roy singing or am I hallucinating?
Nevermind.
|
| |
no

I stopped following after Ghost Opera so that caught me offguard.
|
| |
I want to like it, but it could just as easily have been a b-side from Haven. Not impressed.

I love Kamelot, I just wished they'd let Tommy breathe a little more of his style into the band. I understood that they would've pretty much had everything ready to go when he hopped on for Silverthorn, but with Haven, I was sure he wouldn't be kept on that Khan-style leash and he kinda was.
It just feels like they added an extremely capable and talented vocalist to move on after Khan, and they end up just having him do the same thing.

| |
Tommy should stay in Seventh Wonder, they are killing him in this band.
|
| |
Cool but generic. I've heard this song 2342423 times before.
|
| |
love this more with every listen
