I know they're going for a minimalistic vibe with the instrumentation but the sparse guitars and lack of interesting drum patterns really hurt the track.

Huh... I think it's one of the weakest tracks, to be perfectly honest. Incredibly meh, though considering your thoughts regarding Lead Sails Paper Anchor, I can see why you enjoy this song.
